Who is the person that knows the most about vaping in the world? I need them. I quit cigarettes with vaping, then quit vaping for cigarettes cuz vaping is wicked stupid and no one could solve my problem.

I’m trying again to switch from cigarettes to vaping but I’m having the same problem. I can’t get more than a few days out of a coil.

Yes I’ve already tried that. Whatever you’re thinking, I’ve already tried it several times.

Ive tried cheap coils, expensive ones, random ones, and every other kind. Ive tried a dozen tanks and a dozen mods. Ive tried every kind of juice. Ive primed my coils a tiny bit, and a bit more, and a normal amount, and I’ve primed them with a billion drops. Ive tried every wattage high and low.

I don’t want to smoke cigarettes but vaping is so stupid when you need a new coil every day. Surely there must be someone who knows how to fix this. If I could go through two coils a week that would be good enough. Thanks.

Cheers
Daniel

Welcome to ecf. :)

Tell us about your gear and vaping style.
Hi. Right now I have a couple geek vape mods and am currently using the aegis mini with the tank it comes with, which is called cerberus. I have geek vape supermesh coils of various resistance, but I more often use the vaporesso GT cores coils cuz I’ve heard they are better. There’s also a smok coil I’ve tried a bunch of times.

I’ve tried probably 8 or 9 or 10 other tanks with various coils.

I start with low wattage and slowly dial it up every couple hits until I get to 70-80 watts, and I stop there cuz I’m afraid I’ll burn the coil out even faster.

Are actually burning out coils? I only get that from the tank going empty (e.g. accidental pocket vaping). Maybe should use temperature control.

Most eliquids are incredibly overflavored. I don't think that kind of flavor intensity can be maintained, and it definitely gunks coils rapidly. It's also unhealthy and unnecessary. The strength reference seems to be for small, low power vapes, not even today's small ones much less cloud chuckers. The problem is that most vape devices have very poor flavor production. Basically they're designed to produce more vapor, but then you have to crank up the power in order to saturate them in their hugeness or nothing special happens, while a good flavor producer doesn't require much power.

Most tank systems taste burnt to me almost immediately, and produce weak flavor. I haven't tried that many, it's just been the trend every time I have tried something new. Currently use my old RDA and a Caliburn pod vape, both around 15 watts. The Caliburn puts out far less vapor, needs more nic and flavoring; commercial juices only need be diluted to about 1/5 strength with unflavored. Don't use it that much and look to be getting a month per pod with that juice or 4 months with DIY. The RDA has a tight bore drip tip which restricts flow at the exit as much as the intake, and gets flavor off of very dilute DIY juice. I try to clean/rewick every 2 weeks at least, but been putting it off. Temperature control helps even more with a dripper.

Maybe your pickyness or "nothing else works for me" is different than mine, but maybe this helps.

    IMHO: the simplest and best:

    KFv5.25 on a Dicodes Dani25.

Note the nearly clear juice in the tank. Many 'dark' and/or heavy sugar content juices will gunk up your coil(s) in less than a tank full.

Personally I vape UNFLAVORED juice much of the time and my 'coils' last for MONTHS rather than hours and days. (just saying)

I'm not the expert you're looking for...

Some of us might argue this point. :vapor:

For the OP, "Best" is a subjective word. What's best for me probably isn't best for anyone else, and vice-versa. Find what works best for you and run with it.

A simple regulated squonk mod and a RDA with a BF pin may be an option, it's the easier end of rebuildables.

Can try dripping as they call it first, which is where you just drip the liquid into the RDA to vape. It's a bit awkward, but it keeps costs down and allows you to find out whether it's for you or not.

Coils and wicking tend to be much cheaper than tank coils, and they can work so much better.

I think we all went through those frustrating times when we were trying to find our own niche in the vaping world.
Trick #1; I just knew that everything was going to go south with this new build/atomizer/ or whatever. So I had an old standby all loaded up ready to use for when it did.
That way I had something to vape (instead of lighting up) while I tried to figure out why everything went south.

I suppose it took me about 3 months to figure out what I liked, and what I didn't. But during those three months, the one thing that I figured out was (and still is) best explained in red at the bottom of my every post.

The end result is that I don't have a mod or atomizer that even made anymore. But what I do have will last forever.

    Just my opinion;
The gear won't matter until you find something you enjoy vaping. For me personally, it started with sweets and bakery. Then flavored tobacco.
    Then Naturally Extracted Tobacco.

Find flavors you enjoy. Then start with simple, easy kits (like something from eLeaf or Aspire).
And maybe try a higher nicotine content...

OP's comments that vaping is wicked stupid says all I need to know. It's not rocket science and it's obvious that vaping may not be for him. The other fact that it was basically a hit and run, I suspect the OP's situation is not going to improve.

I'm guessing he went back to his office desk.
