It may be a combination of factors.

Some discomfort MAY be withdrawal symptoms. Cigarettes have more addictive substances in them than the tobacco and nicotine themselves and some people experience bad withdrawal from those. Some don't.

Another issue could be an allergic reaction either to PG, VG, the flavorings or, on extremely rare cases, all of the above.

Another thing that you should consider is that the detoxing process itself can, in some cases, temporarily lower your immune system, making you more susceptible to disease for a while.

As long as you don't feel it is anything of real concern (you know your own body better than any of us), you should be fine.

I'd say coincidence.
It's not to say it couldn't be a cause/effect issue with YOU in particular, but if it was, it would be fairly unique to you, I would think. I haven't heard of very many people getting sick... actually, it seems just the opposite. Didn't I read something about vaporized PG having an anti-bacterial effect?

Somewhat health-related(?):
In my personal experience, I found that getting my nicotine through an inhaler vs a cigarette affected my body and mind in subtle, but noticeable ways. It could have been the lack of other chemicals; the actual type of nicotine and delivery method; or the fact of inhaling large amounts of PG (and other stuff in the liquid). I don't know and I can't really pinpoint anything for sure. Nor do I really care since I'm still cig-free and the symptoms subsided on their own. But for the first couple weeks, caffeine seemed to affect me a LOT more and my overall hand-eye coordination seemed to be degraded slightly. I felt clumsy. I felt "wired" when drinking half the caffeine I'd been drinking before. Even now, my coffee/caffeine intake is still lower than it was before, but I'm hardly ever "wired" anymore. Overall, I feel more naturally energetic. Coordination is back to normal too, btw :D

That sounds like some side effects I'd appreciate, Marb, with respect to caffeine. I've been drinking coffee daily since I was 7 years old to the point I can have 10 cups of coffee in a day, finish the last one and go straight to bed and fall asleep pretty quick. I think I've built up a near-immunity, which is a shame because I don't get the awakening effect of it in the morning either. :|

Well we know that vaping can dehydrate you more than analogs, and I've experienced that myself, and we know that smoking analogs reduces vitamin C in your system, so the OP's body is getting used to not having that drained away. I'd be inclined to agree with prior posters that its mostly coincidence. I wouldn't expect a drop in your immune system's efficiency to be anything subtle if not negligible, unless you already have a weakened immune system. Drink lots of water and orange juice. Your body should react really nicely to the vitamin C now. :) Mmm... orange juice. :)

thanx everyone for your advise :] i have come to the conclusion that it was probably withdraws from the analogs that got me sick. ive been smoking every day for roughly 8 years (i know not 30 - 50 years like a lot people claim) but i was pretty addicted i'd say. so my body was having trouble getting used to the absence of 40,000+ chemicals entering my lungs every 20 mins. but im happy to say im feeling better now :] finally able to breathe better; smell better; and taste better, and all in less than a month :] i believe vaping in some way saved my life :]

ya youre right, ive spent the money, but my ego has already paid for itself. better than spending almost $6 a day on a pack when i can spend $6.50 a week in juice.

Amen to that !! I do wish the best of luck and don't hesitate to ask for any information and recommendations. Lots of great people here. I just recently wrote a thread about how good it feels not to wheeze any more. These big deep breaths are priceless !!
