Yep, call me a quitter, but I don't have cravings for cigs... Has it been a month yet? I find I am vaping a lot less these days, don't go out for breaks at work, and don't have an inkling of cravings. I also found that I don't even crave the strong flavors anymore... I am using mild flavors (right now, my all day vape is caramel, which is a light flavor from I don't know where? It has a picture of a wine glass on it, and I'm almost out of it, but I have others on hand.

I do feel a little more tired these days as I never was a good sleeper (too much to do, too little time?), and I guess the cigs kept the blood flowing when I was too tired to go on naturally, but I guess I just need to learn to be human again :D

Weird... 12 years of feeling like I'd die if I had to go a few hours without a smoke to not caring (I could probably go a day or two without vaping too ).

I guess you can add this to the case study for cessation that the FDA and anti-tobacco agencies claims doesn't exist :p

Same here. Like many on this forum, I could have cared less about smoking a cigarette the day I started vaping. It's been a month for me without cigarettes, but definitely no desire to have one ever again.

It's a weird feeling. I skipped family events and avoided people just to make sure I could smoke. I think my drive for smoking took precedence over just about everything and everyone. Looking back on it, I realize now who (or what) was in control. It's nice to actually want to go on vacation with my family now.

It's funny how the success story almost sounds like a crack addict!

Nasty addiction, and those that haven't experienced it would never understand...

I'm new on here but have to add my experience. I'm a 40 year pack-a-day smoker who started vaping 2 weeks ago. I haven't had a cigarette since I started. I noticed that I am vaping a little less and really notice that the normal cravings I typically get when having my morning coffee and after eating (are those the worst or what?) have diminished to the point that they're barely there. I have to say I do feel better already. I recently discovered I have "discernible" COPD from my smoking (no physical symptoms yet but they were inevitable if I didn't quit) and lost an older brother recently (not a smoker but overweight) to a heart attack. I've decided to take charge of my health and the way I live the rest of my life. I don't I've felt so good about a personal decision in years. I am truly grateful and am here to attest to the "power" of vaping.

Good on you! It is interesting how the after time goes by how the craving for even the vaping goes away. I sit at my desk and take maybe 3 vapes the entire day? I am still working on focusing as it feels like I have become a little ADD with my focus, but this is nothing new being a procrastinator by nature.

It's good to feel the simpler things in life becoming easier as well. Last weekend I took my daughter out all day teaching her to ride her bike and was actually able to run along side her the entire time! I'm certain I would have been out of breath or longing for a cigarette long before. My daughter now hates the smell of cigs, and that alone is priceless. I hope that my past addiction never becomes hers...

I didn't think I could live without alcohol.

Been sober 6 years and counting.

I didn't think I could live without cigarettes.

Been vaping tobacco free for 40 days and counting.

Now I'm not sure I could live without vaping............

But if the past is any indication of what I can do, then vaping will end too.

I'm OK with that now. I'm actually looking forward to it. But the beauty is I can vape zero nic if I want to. This is vaping thing is the best thing ever.

Ed.

I was a smoker for 14yrs.The last 2 years of that i spent trying to quit but always ended in failure. The thought of quitting just struck fear in my heart. Ive been vaping for alil over 2 months now and I could NEVER go back to tobacco. It took me 3 days from the day i got my kit and i havent smoked a analog sense.Plus the thought of not vaping dont bother me.I feel someday i wont be vaping and ill be smoke free as well.

Also a week after i started vaping i got my bestfriend to get a ecig battery(he didnt have the money for the kit so i hooked him up with everything else)And he quit smoking and he hasnt vaped in 2 weeks nor does he want too!He gave me the battery he bought 3 days ago and told me to keep it.

Just goes to show that ecigs do help people.
