Confused?

I certainly was when I first came here. Everyone has a personal preference, including yours truly.

I ordered and stuck with the M40X series. 401/2/3. These are a 3 piece e-cig and the 401 is close to a 120. The 402 to a 100 and a 403 to King or regular sized cigarette.

I also made sure I had plenty of pre-filled carts in my first order. While it was more expensive to start, it gave me breathing room before I had to start refilling my own.

I chain vape. So the continuous run life of a 401 battery is between 1 1/2 to 2 hours. And because I chain vape, I prefer the automatic battery to the manual battery.

The biggest minus for the M40X series is the small cart size. I'm always refilling or topping off a cart. However I recently saw a XL cart advertised and I'm looking into ordering it.

The M40X automatics are also very sensitive to vibrations. So if you go to clubs, you'll want a manual battery.

Atomizers are atomizers. Expect the life cycle of an atomizer to be 1 day to many months depending on how much you vape and the moon cycle of the earth the day it was manufactured.

Since e-cigs were originally made for light/casual smoking, heavier vapers prefer "mods," which are designed for the usage e-cigs get in real life.

Please note, even though I love the M Series, I'm looking at the mod threads to see which one has the longest battery life and can accommodate different atomizers.

I've heard people say very good things about 808 two piece cartomizer e-cig. Some people are avid about their 4081. And as you can see, many people swear by their 510. Let's not leave out the 901 and 801 models either, they have a bunch of fans.

And every model has "issues." Usually, battery life, taste or cart size.

If you're a light to moderate smoker, any of these models would be a good place to start.

If you're a heavy smoker - start checking out the ScrewDrivers, Janty Stick, Vapre 51 and Chuck threads. (I'm sorry if I left anyone out, there are a bunch of great mods on the forum that are being produced commercially.)

Sooner or later, you will wind up buying one.

LiteCigUSA.net is my preferred vendor. Shawn has great service, fast delivery and cheap prices. He carries a wide selection of equipment. He's one of the forum vendors, so you can check out his feedback thread.

Not to ignore the other vendors, they all have their supporters.

Hope this helped.

I am new here, and to the forum. I purchased that npro njoy at a local gas station, and have learned enough to know that it’s cheaper to use the juice. I don’t think my unit works right.. I have a lot of people who are interested in switching over. I was thinking of hosting a vape party! lol.. but My unit just doesn’t work well. It seems like there is very little smoke, and the batteries are always dead. What is up? Is there a better model out there to use? I am thinking that a manual one would be better. I have heard people talk about those?? please help a girl out!

I've had lots of problems with batteries. They are kind of hit or miss, no matter where I have bought them. Plus, as a newbie I did not pay any attention to warnings about overfilling. I was so insistent on reducing the number of times I have to topoff the cart. I ruined a lot of batteries. Automatic batts are indeed very sensitive to overfilling. I would recommend you not even risk ruining a battery by flooding your atty.

It is also common practice to keep an autobatt ecig positioned so the cartridge end is down, reducing the chance of juice flowing into the battery.

However, atomizers are truly the heart of an off-the-shelf ecig. I've just started vaping the Npro/RN4081 because of better flavor vs. the 510 for sweet/fruity juices. I bought attys and batts from both Njoy and AquaVapor (for a RN4081, which is actually what an Npro is). The atty from Njoy is performing like gang busters and is still going strong. The atty from AquaVapor didn't perform well when it was brand new.

I have to base my decisions on something, so I will probably be ordering attys from Njoy, even though they cost twice as much.

From my experience, it doesn't matter where I order batteries. So I'm going to keep buying the cheapest ones I can find.

Finally, I think the best Npro/RN4081 expert in the forum is Jim Davis. You will probably want to get his take on all this.

HTH,
Dave
