I think my money should go to the person who went through all the time, money and energy to design it. I think the people who take a mod, copy it, send the plans to China to have it reproduced with sub-par materials and processes is nothing more than THEFT.
I REALLY find it disturbing when the part was originally made in the USA and people are sending their money and business to another country.
Just ranting a little. I'm tired of people saying how cheap they are getting stuff from "a certain vendor" in a "certain Asian country" only to complain later about slow shipping, bad customer service and crappy parts. You get what you pay for IMHO.

Have a look at this and Tell me so many AMERICANS are more deserving of STEALING me blind.

Smoke Free Electronic Cigarettes | E-Cigs | Refills

I get your point, but you need to also understand - Many Many mods Dubbed Clones ARE NOT and I own a few cheap Mods
WE Brand them Clones and then WE Bad mouth them in ONE BIG LUMP.

Maybe people should start with I'll never buy (Brand X Clone) and be specific.

Go right ahead...it's your money....my money is mine and I spend it as I see fit, not as you think I should...frankly, it's really none of your concern...don't mark up mods 1000 percent and they might get some of my money....the fact is that many of the expensive mods are put up for sale by manufacturers and are sold out in minutes. Most people can't afford these highly priced battery tubes and wouldn't have had a chance to get them anyways due to limited runs. Sometimes the only way to get one is to pay a flipper way beyond the original price in the classies..It doesn't appear that the manufacturing of inexpensive clone products has affected expensive mod sales in the least. People who want expensive mods, and are willing to shell out the big bucks, will line up for them. This is proven to be the case every time the next big thing is released. Those with less means, or those who don't see the value in spending hundreds for a mod, can purchase knockoffs and go on their merry way. Your way of thinking leaves them with no options in many cases. Do want you want, but most people I've seen view the argument against clones as so much about nothing....

Wasn't too long ago when "Made in Japan" meant inferior quality..Chinese are getting better and better at Manufacturing just about everything we use! An exact copy..is like a counterfeit..I don't care for that..But I'm thankful i can order directly a quality mod from an "Asian" country without having to go thru a middleman. Wanna be upset about this...be upset at Big business and the Politicians who undercut and sold out our own domestic maufacturing base with "free-trade" to begin with.

well i guess u got the deep pockets to do what u want and dont understand the life of a budget vaper. some people r forced to do it like it or not just to get performace for what money they have. or cause of the loss of what money they had that got taken by some bs crap that cost 4 times as much but didnt work worth a damn. do i like it? not at all, just dont have much choice. thats life its just harder for some than others.

exactly right, another wrong thing is these people get these mods then turn around and want more than they paid for them when they sell them!

I'm sorry, there are just only so many ways you can build a circuit. You can make the buttons and cases look nicer, throw in some electronics, but it is still just a circuit.

Never heard anyone complain about my Mazda B3100 being a clone of the Ford Ranger...(but so glad I got rid of it anyway LOL)

I cringe when I see a mod for sale for twice its original price. Then I realize that this is a hobby to a lot of folks, like trading cards or anything else that is considered collectible, and that highly sought after items go for whatever someone who just has to have one will pay for it...it almost makes some kind of sense when you look at it that way.....lol

Too true. My Spawn #1 is only worth maybe 3 bucks to me, but to a kid looking for back-issues, it could be worth $100.

I collect old pulp sci fi mags, and I found the first edition of the first print run of my all-time favorite space opera serial in an old bookstore. It was $50. After money exchanged hands and it was then in my possession, I told the clerk, "I would've paid you $150 for this!" and left.
