So if only trained scientists would just read your post on an ecig forum they'd understand the error of their ways? Rather than risk them not seeing this particular post on this particular forum, why not write a paper and overturn their findings?
What findings? You can insult or you can tell me which statement I made is incorrect. Actually I got the info from a trained scientist with multiple degrees. I offered no opinion. Just verifiable facts.

True, but most have not been as roundly criticized for their dishonesty and fraudulence by all sides of the political spectrum as The Heartland Institute, especially in the issues of tobacco and climate change.

much like moveon.org i suppose.even they have some good points i am willing to admit.
i still cant see how putting all my eggs into the heartland basket justifies ones reason
to count the guy out.

Thomson just pulled this BS at a hearing a couple weeks ago, and she and her campaign are well aware that people in the vaping community are after her. Are you saying the candidate you support has the mentality of a puppy?

She may... I don't know her... and I am not supporting her.

What makes you think I am supporting her? Is it because I am taking a different viewpoint on vaping advocacy than you may by not supporting her opponent based on single issue? Is everything either black or white?

I don't think that I would concede that Heartland has any good points. Greg has stated that his vaping advocacy is outside of HI, and I accept that. But I do say that his advocacy would be better served if he had no ties to the despicable Heartland Institute whatsoever.

Ease off there, Smann. You weren't insulted. Your statement regarding climate change was. What you stated is true, but totally discounts the drastic increase in change and human activity's effect on that change regarding the climate.

OOOpppsss. WRONG FORUM. Take it elsewhere. Please.

Seems like to you it is. Left or right and that's it.
A wrecking train just keeps on wrecking doesn't it?

I don't think you know me or have any understanding of my views.

I see you joined ECF 2 months ago. I have a feeling you won't last very long around here if you persist with personal attacks. Just sayin'. Stick to the issues and your point of view will be better respected.

You know, I often see bumperstickers that support the opponent of the candidate I support. Do I run over and yank the bumpersticker off? I do not. Do I go up to the car and harangue the driver about their political views? I do not. I just figure they're a total imbecile and go on with my life.

Same thing here exactly. SJ owns this forum, just as that person with the bumpersticker owns his/her car; both are free to shout their political beliefs from the rooftops. It doesn't mean anyone will listen, or agree. It just means they have the right to say what they think.

This entire thread seems to be the equivalent of yanking a bumpersticker you disagree with off a car, or haranguing its owner for being a political imbecile -- a whole lot of getting in someone's face for having views you oppose, and very little just getting on with your own life.

Haha! Personal attacks? This thread is a personal attack. The current establishment likes us to be divided. You are only helping to further the divide. This thread has not benefitted this forum, its members or your cause at all. Congratulations.
Good. You are back to the topic of this thread (almost).

I have questioned the means and methods of vaping advocacy. I see that you disagree with my view on those methods.

So, you think that the way to unite and not divide is to delve into election politics and meander far from education and issue action? (See Greg's three steps earlier in the thread.) Both Greg and Smokey Joe do, and have made good arguments to their point. I don't, and have made my points, well stated or not.

I agree, It has been said countless times that this is a privately owned forum and the owner is free to do with whatever he wants and they are free to leave. It appears that some here resent that ownership and the privileges of that ownership and just can't let it go.

Your bumper sticker analogy is very good although an extreme leftist would key the car and pull signs from yards.

ROFL! I saw on the news last night that that has actually been happening -- the sign-stealing -- here in GA. No idea who's doing it.

I really don't think I'm any kind of -ist. I do think the gov't has an obligation to those who elected them; I also think the gov't should get their big fat busybody nose out of people's personal choices, in ALL matters. If I'm any kind of -ist, it's probably "individual-ist". :)

I got the info from a trained scientist with multiple degrees. I offered no opinion. Just verifiable facts.

If science teaches us anything its that this first statement is at complete odds with the following two.

Everything in science changes. The world is no longer flat with a sun revolving around it. The theory of relativity has been put in its relative place. And scientists are dead set on both sides of the global warming debate world wide.

These are observable facts. There has been no conclusion drawn from them. Just the observation of them themselves.

That was exactly my point. The term science denial was used as if all information is known and all questions answered and anyone not agreeing with a certain political stance on the subject is just wrong and ignorant of what is supposedly already known to be true. Maybe I was unclear. Thanks for helping to clarify.

There's no debate about what the evidence tells us

Climate Change: Vital Signs of the Planet: Consensus

There's only misdirection and out right lies. The cast of characters are very similar to the evolution denying, tooth fairy created the universe crowd.
Do you know where all the temperature sensors they use are located? Do you know when they were installed? Do you know what a heat island is?
If I put a sensor at an airport that is in the middle of nowhere and then years later urban sprawl causes the airport to be in the middle of a highly populated area, the sensor readings are affected.
