Time to ask the experts........when I recharge my batteries ( LGHE4s) it seems that one shows a full charge , the other is drained? tried 2 different pairs and the same thing occurs........new batteries,and both pairs discharge equally in my Sig 150 so im inclined to think the istick is only utilizing one battery......when I use the istick with one battery at a time it works fine?.....could there be a circuitry problem in the mod?....any suggestions would be appreciated, Thanks

I do believe the iStick 100 runs the batteries in parallel, so it's entirely possible that it's only operating on one battery.

You could look for obvious faults at the battery terminals, otherwise some disassembly (or replacement) will be involved. I would think the defect would be fairly obvious if it came apart.

the istick uses parallel batts, so it can run on one batt;
the sigelei like most other regulated mods used series batts, so if one batt is not making proper contact it just wont turn on.

in your istick one of the trays is not making proper contact with the battery.

+1 to @93gc40 If you can run it on one battery, in either position, then the battery sled must be making contact to both batteries. If it is discharging only one of them preferentially when two are installed... you have a problem, I'm thinking (and sorry to be the bearer of bad tidings). Query: is it always the same side that discharges? I wonder if the batteries are to the board as individuals, or if the sled holds both and only makes one connection. Does the mod show battery charge state once, or for each battery? If the batteries are connected to the board as individuals, perhaps it's firmware.

Good question as I haven't pulled one apart. I do have 6 of these though and have had even discharge on both batteries except of course the one time I put one in wrong. I need to pay attention obviously.

My new Sig 150W tc is the opposite of my 3 Sig 100Ws so I just know I'm going to put them in wrong sometime.

Wow Rox, I thought I was the only multiple mod junkie:)...yeah im thinking its the board......have a vaper friend that's an electrician and the type of guy that can fix anything, think ill pass it on to him to have and troubleshoot , for the life of me I cant remember where I bought it

It would be theoretically possible that the pressure of one battery is pushing on the sled slightly, keeping the other from making contact. That would explain why a single battery in either position would work, but two together does not.

I'd check for any motion on the sled. Once in contact, the chip doesn't get a choice on which battery it drains, it's in electrical contact with both and will drain both.

I don't know if there's a smart chip between the contacts to keep one battery from draining into another in the case of a severe mismatch. If so, that could also be missing contact when both batteries are in, which would result in the same symptoms, just not on the sleds themselves.
