Yup, the saddle valve, Lowes, Ace, Home Depot, or a hammer and an awl works well enough in a pinch.
Anyone?
"Can anyone post a link to a site that still sells quiet 1.8 ohm xl (45mm) pre-punched cartos and actually has them in stock?"
You don't know what quiet means? Most cartomizers make a loud sizzling gurgling noise when in use. I want a quiet one. The platinum k's hardly made any noise at all...Anymore your best bet is slowtech

no idea what you mean by "quiet"
I tried improvising & damn near took my thumb off.Yup, the saddle valve, Lowes, Ace, Home Depot, or a hammer and an awl works well enough in a pinch.
Had the same thought as @tj99959. Never used a carto that made noise- I didn't know any of them did.You don't know what quiet means? Most cartomizers make a loud sizzling gurgling noise when in use. I want a quiet one. The platinum k's hardly made any noise at all...

Thank you & what is his set up?Longtime member here
I have 12 brick of Boge cartos in the stash. They have always been in the rotation ... always will be in the rotation.
I've always punched my own cartos, just use a saddle valve. (to cheap to pay extra for something that is so easy to do myself)

Thank you. The links in that thread were 3 years old & some of them didn't work. I just went ahead and purchased a carto punch. Easier for me than shopping around for all the parts to DIY."DIY" Carto Punch
They are selling the complete setup with an xtra screw somewheres still for 12.99.
Smok came out with their popular wingnut setup soon after I believe, and most of the old style ones were given up then.
The Smok ones I use are pretty loud and sizzly. Here's what I'm using right now. Don't mind the crumpled up blankie , I'm sick as a dog in my recliner!
