Im giving up. what is the best way of finding the right mod for me?

I have preferences and stipulations that its just gotten to hard to explain on here so I need some kind of database. even if its not updated all the time just something that would help me find what I need.

Anything helps. Thank you.

If you're at wits end with what you need, I think the itaste MVP 2 or vv3.0 would be a good place to start. No batteries to really worry about, and they're cheap, but solid devices.

SVD, SID, vamo, zmax, vape-pro, or even the ego type VV PVs, like the twist or spinner.

I'll never recommend a non-variable voltage battery..

If you have the money, provari. One of the most solid PVs you can get, and provape will always have your back.

This really comes down to your budget for a mod and whether you want one to try VV/PV and if you are committed to vaping.

If you are committed to vaping and have the money - ProVari or Provari Mini and an extension cap from ProVape.
A ProVari is a high quality mod and is worth every penny - if you buy one now, you save yourself a lot of money in advance in trying lots of cheap mods just to confirm for yourself that you need something of higher quality. The vape from a ProVari is smoother than from the cheaper chinese mods.

If you are not sure whether you will continue to vape or just want to try VV/PW - a Vamo v3/v5 (same mod, just a different look) or a zmax - people have given good feedback about these but they are not of the best quality and some components in them may give out fairly quickly depending on how careful you are with them.

I know of no database that you can plug in your requirements and it spits out your perfect mod.

Give us a list of your requirements and price range and we will spit out all kinds of things that you can consider. And you can ask us questions. Can't do that in a database, at least not easily.

There are good devices available at every level. You might hear members say things like "Get XXX, everything else is junk." That's not true. There is no one-size-fits-all device, that's why I asked you to list the features that are important to you and your price range.

I kicked the habit using a 510 cigalike sorta like an e-roll. Used it non stop for about 3 months before I moved on to better performing and cheaper to maintain mods. I still use it my self once in a while or let my smoking friends try it for there first vape experience.

imo probably the best entry level mod would have to be the iTaste VV v3.0. Variable voltage, variable wattage (what I prefer), atomizer ohm meter, 510 and ego threads... AND it'll fit in your pocket with ease. What's not to like? Sure, it's only 3.3v to 5.0v, and there are units with a wider range, but the range of the VV is what, I would wager, most people vape at anyway. The only other potential downside is it's only 800mah. BUT, it's also a passthrough, so you can vape while it charges.

And you can get one for around $30 American.

Granted it's no Provari, but it's quite the little unit. Plus it will still have it's uses if you ever graduate to a bigger/badder mod. Who wants to carry around an iTaste 134 in their pocket unless they want to use the thing for personal defense?

I'm a Sigelei Zmax fan too, but the OP needs to be verified to have access to the co-ops. I seem to recall that you need X number of posts before your even eligible to be verified.

ok Im gonna probably vape for life but I dont really want to drop a lot of cash yet. so keeping prices near the lower end is a priority.

Do not want odd box shaped mods like the mvp. Just something round-ish at least.

Still debating whether I want a single piece or separate battery. If single piece I need a USB pass thru. If it uses batteries Im buying 2. 18650 or something with a large mAh.

I'll post more as I think of it.

Keep in mind that you always need back-up, whether it be another single piece unit or extra batteries. Also, remember with replaceable batteries you have to budget for a charger as well.

I've heard good things about this device, but I'm curious what you keep on hand for back-up, or do you vape on faith alone?

I keep my old ones as backups.

started with an ego-c, upgraded to an elego vv 3.0. I have that one and now the significant other wants to upgrade their ego to something better. Cause the egos suck.

We've been sharing the vv with the iClear 30 tank. its a great vape but its top heavy. Id like to get that balanced out a little. Personally Id like to get a mod that'll suit a RBA tank cause that's what's next on my list.

Any of this making sense?

If single piece, I'm not sure what cylindrical 1-pieces are out there.

If you're looking for a cheap-ish mod that uses replaceable batteries, I suggest the SVD for the simple reason that it has a floating center pin. It's not a feature that gets a lot of play and it wasn't even mentioned in the description when I bought it, but I love it. I'm not suggesting that the SVD never has pin problems, but from my personal experience, I haven't had a single topper not work with the SVD. My other 2 mods are a SID and a MVP 2 and both of those have had issues at one point or another with some toppers. Probably my own fault for screwing tanks in too tight at one point, but it's a pain when you come across something that won't fire on your mod because the post isn't making contact.

Hi, I have no idea honestly how long you've been vaping so this is what I would tell someone if they asked me what they should by next if they had started with a "ciga-like" kit...

Honestly...everyone is right,,,and everyone is wrong...only you can tell you want you should get. The Provari is the top of the VV ladder and we all end up there sooner or later...there are mech mods that cost just as much and there are other vv/vw mods that make the price tag of a provari look like it's a blue light vaping special....here is my advice...

Go buy a vision Spinner 1300 mah battery and an another e-go type battery of your choice and liking for a second while that one is charging so you have a back up...ok you've dropped 50 bucks...you have two batteries that are going to be there when you need them even when you've moved on and even though I love my Provari I still use my Spinners at work and they get me by just fine. why would I say this? the first three months I vaped I spent about 2000 grand on this and that shiny thing thinking I'd like it best cause this is where I started so I should go here and there from all the "good" advice from here I gathered...and it is good advice, but its not always going go be the right advice for you. So go buy a spinner and a back up...a couple cheap attys, a couple cheap carto's (with and without holes), you can usually get a "my first carto tank" set for around 8-15 bucks, by a t-2 or a Vivi, a T3s or Mini Protank. Or instead, if you think you want to go the dual coil route get an aspire BCC, an iclear 16, and smok tech duel coil cartos if you think dual coils are going to be your thing (but with an ego less than 1300 mah duel coils can be dissapointing sometimes, youll figure it out). And a couple small bottles of good e-liquid you think you will like...

Why would I say buy all that? Because for about the price of a hundred bucks you have an ego battery that can drive all of these things and you can try them for yourself. The last thing you would want to do is buy a protank and 30 coils for it only to decide you wanna go with carto tanks or RBA's....don't worry about finding that perfect mod right now...find the perfect style...then chase the dream...Provari's and MVP's will be there....it might not have the features of the Itaste but it's not pushing all the circuits either so it's going to last you quite a bit longer.

And...for about a hundred bucks, not only do you have your "emergency zombie supply drawer" as much of us have that is ever growing with last weeks "thing" started...you now have a comprehensive baseline reference and database to cross reference your mod purchase against....if you discover you mainly use a certain resistance at a certain voltage or you think'd you be jumping up and down...or you want a mini/stealth mod that is shorter or something you could beat whales to death with...the possibilites are quickly becoming endless.

Change the word "need" to "must." The first week is a freebie, but by the start of the second week of vaping you must have a backup device.

I can't count the number of times I've needed a backup. Of course, once I got a ProVari, I no longer needed one. I really do need to pick up a second one. I'm hard on my tools. I've broken 4 twists, one pass through, two Vamos and one winder, in a six month time period. I had to buy a ProVari just so I could start saving money.

Okay, something you can potentially use with an RBA, that's helpful. Again, do you have a budget range in mind?
