Ok...Was told today that maybe I needed to get a ITaste v v battery. Because it has variable voltage and variable wattage, and might just help me with my throat hit issues. (as of right now...I don't want one of those boxes or mods...) I want a nice smaller roundish battery lol
I'm using Vision Spinner and Vision Spinner II batteries right now...and love them...except with my Kanger Protank 3. I just can't seem to get the hit I want from them. I bought an add on adjustable airflow thing for it...still no good. Have no issues with my Kanger Mini Protank 3. And I don't have any issues with my Aspire nautilus Mini. So what do ya think??? Should I go for it with The I Taste V V ?????? HELP! :D:confused:

I have both set ups you mention. I have the itaste, the vision spinner, the protank 3 and the mini protank 3, and also the airflow thing as well. Truthfully, none of it changes anything for the throat hit for me. I don't like throat hit, so for me that's a good thing. I use primarily VG juices and stick to the lower end of the voltage/wattage spectrum, mainly because i use 1.5 coils.

I understand the issues you say you're having with your protank but not the mini. I believe the reason is the coil that comes with the thing originally. i switched it out and am having much less problems with it. i also put the airflow restrictor on it and that seems to work wonders. I prefer a tighter draw.

Anyway, if it's a stronger throat hit you want, my inexpert, only a month and something vaping opinion would be go higher PG. And vice versa for lesser throat hit. Some companies also advertise what the throat hit is like for their different juices.

All that said, I love my itaste VV V3, and highly suggest getting one, I like it better than the spinners, mostly because it's more reliable, and also for the passthrough feature :)

The itaste vv V3 is neither small or roundish. It's as long as an eGo 1000mAh battery and is rectangular rather than round.

Throat hit is mainly nicotine and heat. Although certain flavors can simulate it. And as Shellie says VG can reduce throat hit, so a higher level of nic and more PG than VG in your mix is best.

As far as the heat goes, with the Vision Spinner and VSII you can get 4.8 Volts and with say a 1.8 ohm coils that's 12.8 Watts! And I don't recommend vaping at that level, but perhaps a 2.2 ohm coil (9.2 Watts) and a strong flavor, you'll likely get a pretty good hit. That said, I also didn't have the best experience with protanks and went with the T3/T3S which had a better draw and less juice in the mouth. I also had pretty good luck with Aspire but not the nautilus - the 'pen' mini.

One option to look at - at heaven gifts (don't know if any US vendors have them yet)...

VapeOnly vPulse Dual-output Starter Kit with vAir D16 Clear cartomizer, 900mAh - Heaven Gifts

It's similar function as a itaste - vv/vw - about as long as your Spinner - although check the specs. And has a glass top mini (ego size diameter) with an airflow controller built in - rare for 'eGo size' although there are others now - top voltage 5V and top wattage 12W.

I too have an itaste vv3 and several vision spinners (not the vision spinners 2), and use them on a daily basis. The itaste vv3 is rectangular, which I really like now that I have it because it doesn't roll around when I put it down like my spinners! I don't know about throat hit, but I will say that 4.2 on my spinner does not feel the same as 4.2 on my itaste, even with the exact same tank on top of it, I find the itaste to heat better.

I also like the passthrough feature of the itaste which my spinner does not have, this way I can keep using the device even if it is charging.

I echo what was said about PG -- more PG = more throat hit. Raising the nic level can also help, but if you're like me, too much nicotine just means nausea, and that's never a good thing.

And you may not want to hear this, if you're not yet at a point of learning to build your own coils, but I found the Kayfun to provide absolutely superior throat hit. They're also one of the easiest to build coils for, and provide an all-round excellent vape, primarily for flavor and throat hit. But you do have to build your own coils for it.

The iTaste vv/vw v3 is an EXCELLENT device; I also have 3 of them, because I can't seem to stop buying them. :D The pass-thru feature is a godsend.

I wouldn't trade my VV for anything. I have 2 and one more that is being delivered today. My wife has a VV and an MVP. You can't beat these two Innokin devices in terms of quality/value IMHO of course... :vapor:

AWESOME! You all have convinced me...I am gonna buy one! lol soon! lol
Thanks again!

I've been using my iTaste VV 3.0 mod for about half a year now... and not many complaints! The variable wattage and voltage is a nice feature, plus it has a built in ohmmeter so that's pretty handy. It doesn't go crazy with vapor production, but it certainly gets the job done. You can plug it in via micro USB and puff it while it's charging, so that's really cool too.

The only problem is that the battery life isn't great, for me at least. I usually start to notice a drop in quality after about half an hour consistent vaping. That being said, it's a pretty reliable battery. I'm also beginning to have a hard time getting the button to active when pressed, it's kinda iffy... but I've been using it pretty exclusively for almost half a year, so it stands to reason it's wearing down :p I highly recommend it for everyone looking for a cheap, reliable battery.

Got my itaste VV battery....LOVE IT! Thanks everyone for the suggestions!

Glad to see you're enjoying yours! Vape on!
