I got my ecig (ego-c starter kit) earlier this week and it came with absolutely NO instructions. No care, no prep, no insert A here... which is kind of okay... it isn't rocket science right? LOL I made sure all parts fit together properly and double checked the charge on the battery.
Today the ejuice sampler I ordered from Vape Dudes showed up and instead of rushing here to make sure I followed a certain procedure, I instead just filled the tank about 3/4 of the way full. It draws, it vapes.... everything appears to be running properly but the hits are a little "harsh". I currently have Blue Honey in it and it's not a flavor issue but a back of the throat issue. I have been smoking menthol 100s Marlboro Lights. My ejuice is 50/50 11mg with extra flavor. I tinkered with the voltage on the battery and then did a little googling. Seems like I missed priming or prepping this thing. So, any suggestions or do I just have to ride it out?

Also... I purchased some fruit flavors and then a couple of flavors like Clove, Mocha Java Drizzle. I figure the fruits can mix with no huge issue, but the coffee or clove, eh not so much. So how do I clean my tank when I want to switch flavors?

Welcome , but be sure your vaping correctly , and not inhaling , like when smoking . To clean the tanks , you can rinse them out with warm water ( Not soapy water ) If your getting a harsh taste , can be attributed to either , too high of voltage , or problems with wicking ( juice not getting to the coil . You might try getting some regular carto's , or even some clearoizers , to use , rather than the tanks . Most don't have a lot of success with the tanks , either harsh hits , or leaking problems . Look at the mini Vivi_nova clearo's , or the Kanger "Evods" or T3's . I'm presently using some of the Kangers , and they are working very well , at least for me . Good Luck

some juices are going to give you that throat hit no matter what vv it's at especially fruit juices (i hate throat hit). As for forgetting to prep it just ride it out it should start tasting better after a few.Now when you want to switch juices you simple empty the tank rinse it under warm water for a bit then do some dry burns (you hit the power button in 6-8 sec intervals so it burns the remaining juice).once the coils start to glow red your ready for a new juice stop once they turn red as you could pop the coil.

You didnt screw up at all. Blue Honey has hella throat hit to it.

Try inhaling the vapor and holding it in your mouth for 5 seconds before finishing the inhale. It will be MUCH smoother that way

If you watch PBusardos videos you can actually see him count to himself as he does this on juice reviews.

Yeah.. That's pretty much all you can do. I love the blue honey, even though my throat hates me afterwards.

8-o Vapedudes are awesome but you really gotta let their juice steep, they make it after you order so it's fresh! I got serveral from them & thought - 'how awful'. Couple of weeks later and I can NOT put down the Amaretto Haze:ohmy: Just my humble opinion, I've made a bunch of orders from them since - love those VapeDudes:wub:

What a normal amount of time to let them steep? It was hell to have the starter kit here and nothing to run through it. LOL Apparently Vicksburg is not eCig savvy. I called all 2 tobacco shops and neither one knew what ejuice was. BLUs yes, but not ejuice. It's possible Jackson has an actual shop where I can ask questions and walk out with product but finding time to run over there is impossible at the moment.

If the cartridge where you put the liquid is small, and your atomizer is also small, and you have to use a cone, then you probably have the same starter kit I got at first. Had the same problem with burning throat. What is happening is that your atomizer is not wicking. That'll happen with other delivery devices such as the vivi nova, etc.

My current set up is an evod that works great with regular eGo batteries as the coil is LR. Before getting the evod, I was vaping with a Kanger T3. Never had a dry hit with the Kangers. Now I just got the Kanger Protank yesterday and am in a vaping stupor. Love the Kanger clearos.

The evods are not that expensive and they have replaceable coil heads.

I got fed up with the refilling of the little eGo C cartridges and the poor performance. Remember vaping is a pleasurable experience and anything that doesn't deliver flavor and plumes of vapor without irritating your throat you don't have to put up with it. The evods are around $8 maybe less depending where you buy them.

It's better to go more in depth on that topic, if you are going to offer it. I read similar suggestions when I started. Don't inhale like you do with an analog.. Inhale the opposite way you do with cigs.. etc.

Well I always mouth drew analogs. So when I started with my e-cig, I did what people recommend and inhaled differently then that.. a lung draw.

So much less confusion to be had if you just let people know they need to draw the vapor into their mouth and hold it there for a bit before inhaling it into the lungs. Or choosing not to inhale into the lungs at all, and just exhaling out of the nose.

EXACTLY!! When I first started reading here...people kept telling Noobs...don't draw on it like you would a Cig...take a draw, hold it in your mouth, then inhale...I was like WHAT?? Isn't that how everyone smokes a real cig?? At least that's how I smoked Cigs and EVERYONE I know smoked cigs.

Anyhow...most juices are made when you order it...so they will need to steep...especially Tobacco flavors. Take the caps off, stick them in a cabinet and go by once or twice a day and shake them like crazy. You'll notice by the end of the week, most will be a different color than what they were when you first got them...not a huge change in color...just a darker shade.

    Anyhow...Good luck!
