In a moment of madness, i ordered an Avocado by Geek vape, as i was thinking that i should at least try another type of tank more modern than my normal gennys!

It arrived today, and its now sat on my bookcase, trying to entice me to put a build on it or at least open the box!

If anyone has any advice so i can be strong and stand up to this temptation... speak up now, or i may weaken and give in!
My Nextiny is being extra good to me tonight as well...

I find building coils to be very therapeutic.

The Avocado works great with cotton wicking just tucked down into the wick holes. I find a single, larger coil works better than a dual coil setup. Filling is also easier with a single coil as the single coil isolator then acts as a fill port plug.

Thanks for the reply's...
When i get round to putting a wick on it, it would be a single coil setup. From what i have read it looks like I could use a horizontal coil and run the wick tails straight into the tank, shouldn't be too hard to do that. Plenty of room on that deck anyway.
Too late tonight, but looks like a nice job for tomorrow.
Boy its hell being retired and having all this time to fill playing about with coils and wicks!:D

If you are going to give that Guacamole a shot--go whole hog and do a dual-coil/dual u wick. With mesh!!Pix!!

Ive got two Avocados packed away in a storage locker.
Vaping like a boss on my 1.0Ω aga ts, until i'm good and moved out of Dodge.

Prolly will put a build on the Guacamole this winter, shooting for 0.8Ω. Pictures, coil porn, the whole nine.

But traditional gennys, with a vertical wick--are easier to maintain. So for now, my Nectars and Guacamoles will just have to stay packed away.

Wow, so I'm **not** crazy...
I really couldn't have put this better myself. Working with my hands... it's wonderful. One of my favorite pastimes!

In tucked identical Fused Claptons (34 KA1 / 28 KA1 * 2, 5 wrap, 3mm, .76 Ohms) into my Avocado (Guacamole lol only if I mashed it...) and my Theorem. One mod is on my Ele Laisimo P70, the other on my Sig 75. Both are set to 40 watts. The Theorem is airier and thus cooler. The Avocado is a little tighter (even with the air through the block opened up), and therefore warmer. Both are delivering the vapor, but I think the flavor, because of the warmth, goes to the Avocado.

Tomorrow night, I'll tuck a notch coil in both and try them in TC to see if the playing field is leveled when the temps are (theoretically) the same.

Earlier in the day, I had the notch coil in the Theorem on my Waidea Flask at 40 watts.

The notch coils should be useable in temp control, but probably won't behave electrically quite like normal SS wire, due to the non resistance leads.

I'm very familiar with NR-R-NR coils. Still build 'em once in a while :)

LOL... not so much patience as just love the Nextiny and the Origen V2 Mk2 so tend to try things out on them.
Will get to the Avocado in the next day or so. Got an Origen V3 Dripper (Clone) to also build, again still in its box! (Dont really know why i bought this one, probably never use it, but never tried a dripper, and suspect it will end up on ebay, but it was too cheap not to buy!)

Very nice mate..did think about getting a telescopic Mech mod, but for some reason didn't!
Now i will have to buy another one that will take an 18500 and 18650 battery, as while i think my rx200 is excellent, a mech mod just hits a lot harder. and is a whole lot lighter than carrying 3 X 18650 batteries around.

Like that Ela, Vaya, a beautiful mod..as you say quality--It shines through when the pain of spending the money has been long forgotten.

I know this is the Genesis forum, but a little while ago i purchased this, with the nano kit etc.

DV8TMBq.jpg

Bought it from Uk ebay and it was a used atty, but seems to be as new. Anyway, last night I decided that it had been very patient with me and so got it out and stuck a coil and some cotton wicking in it, and tried it out with a fruity juice at 70/30 and 9mg nicotine, my usual type of juice.
I aimed (Hoped!) for between 1.3 and 1.5 ohms and it came out at 1.4 :toast: and it has really surprised me.. At 13.8 watts I was getting such strong hits from it, that I had to change out the juice to some other stuff i had at 3 mg Nic. as i was actually getting light headed! and i have to say that the flavour is out of this world..even at 3 mg the TH is excellent and lots of vapour..and again superb taste..

Anyway, just wondering if anyone else here has one of these, and how you find it? Again apologies if this is the wrong place for this...thought you might find it interesting.
