This was kinda wierd. I've fought to kick the habit for years. I've spent thousands on patches and pills. From the day I picked up an ecig I knew it was the solution. I've been on it for a little over three months now. In that time I've went from 18mg to 6mg vamping 2-4ml a day. A coulple days ago my desire to cape dropped drastically going through less than 1ml. Yesterday even less at 3-4 puffs all day. I haven't touched it today other than to put it in the truck to take to town, haven't taken a puff though. Guess my body said its good without nicotine now. Granted I haven't hit a high stress situation yet so we will see how it goes. Crappy part is a have 100ml of highish end liquid I bought to mix down to 3mg. Ah well, keep it around for a rainy day. Hopefully this sticks, if not I still have plenty of supplies.

Awesome! This is good news! Definitely keep your gear on hand for "emergencies", but this is a very cool development for you. I did it once, quit smoking through vaping, quit vaping for over three years. It's nice not to have to think about making sure you have bats and juice and all the necessary accouterments all the time.

Go you! :)

That's great! I know a lot of people took up vaping with the intention of using it temporarily to get off of analogues and then giving it up. As far as I can remember you're the only one I've heard say they got to the point of not wanting to vape any more. Of course it could just be that they quit coming here when they quit vaping. Hang onto your gear for a while and if it turns out this is permanent you can always PIF or put it in the classies.

I think a big part of not wanting to cape is I don't like the juice I have. Liked it in the sampler and ordered a 100ml of it to mix down to 3mg(50ml 0nic mad 50ml 6mg) and not a fan at all once it got here. I can't seem to find anything I like. I've got several partial bottles I used to really enjoy and now none of them seem to taste good. Don't know if it's a taste bud thing or a body telling it's done vaping thing. Tastes in foods haven't changed at all.

Another issue is I think I am massively dehydrated. Between vaping and a medication I'm taking I'm pretty much dried to the bone.

I spoke to soon, the itch has started again.... I've hit the pipe a couple of times the last couple of days. Still very minimal use but frustated I'm using at all. Well, I guess relapsing to vaping is better than cigs. Usage has been very minimal at maybe 1ml total over the last two days but I still want to end it. We'll see how it shakes out. This just may turn into a running thread of failure. Maybe a little public crow eating will help the process.

A little advice from an old-timer who's been there. DON'T GET RID OF YOUR GEAR!! I made that mistake two and a half years ago, tapered down to zero-nic, stayed there for 5 to 6 months and dropped it, sold/trashed my gear and was good for 6 months. I got a new, more stressful job and ended up smoking again, if I would have had gear and some zero/low-nic juice I would have been ok. When I started I used 12mg, when I finally came back it took 36mg to calm the cavings and another year to get back to 12mg.

I wish you the best of luck! It's not easy but it CAN be done.

Savoir-Faire is everywhere!
Do NOT, under any circumstance, bash yourself about the head and ears if you slip back into vaping. You don't need to attack yourself with guilt or embarrassment. This is a PROCESS and it takes time and gentle handling.

You've gone SO FAR. I still haven't completely given up my analogs yet (had 2 today) but I know I will and I know I'll keep going.

Really, I mean it. You are fine if you slip back or not. You're away from the nicotine entirely and you're not smoking!

I've had this happen a few times. Food tasted great but all my juices tasted like NONE of them had any flavoring.
I needed to give my taste buds a rest and drink a LOT of water--was dehydrating myself and didn't realize it right away because I'm not a big water drinker.
