Ive been using evods, Aros, Mt3s kind of stuff for about 7months. I also use carto tanks and have since I started vaping 2.5 years ago. However Im curious to up my clearomizer game and give something new a shot. I'd love to be able to still use the same universal coil I use for my evods. mt3s and Aro IIs. I hear lots of bad stuff about the protanks, so I feel like its not worth it to get one of those...but I keep hearing about the Nautilus tank....I dont understand what it is in comparison to my little clearo collection I have already and I'd love to have some insight on that type of setup.

any other suggestions for a good "powerhouse" type of clearo? Im not willing to spend more than 35$ on it, but I'm interested in knowing the benefit to having a "fancier" type of clearo compared to a simple evod tank.

rounding third and heading home...
can't help you with your price point limit- but, if you wantthe best tasting vape from a clearo and want the easiest and simplest system the get a joyetech delta tank/coil system and be prepared to really enjoy your liquid like you never have from a clearo. otherwise, cheap out and get another of the many offerings from kanger or aspire. personally, i vape for the taste and flavor, so i want the best at producing that- a few bucks more just doesn't matter when that is my goal. delta runs $39.99 so you need to decide if that little more is worth it...it is for me...

The real reason the Nautilus and Mini are so popular is the BVC coils. Supposedly much better flavor and more vapor. However Aspire just released BVC coils that fit most of their cheaper clearos. So you can try out an ET-S or Vivi Nova-S for $7 and see if the BVC coils are worth buying a Nautilus. Or the new Aspire K1 looks interesting. I have a couple ET-S and some BVC coils on the way, so I can't say if they live up to the hype yet. I've tried a couple other dual coil clearos, and keep coming back to my Evods. They work well, and coils are cheap and last 3-4 weeks for me.

In my opinion I think the Kanger Aerotank Mega is the best clearo. I will tell you why.

1- solid steel built. Food grade steel which will not rust like the Nautilus Mini. Try soaking a Nautilus in vodka for 12 hours and see what happens.

2- the tanks are nice and they come with both a steel tank and a glass tank.

3- the dual coils work very well ( get the 1.5 ohm coil single slot not the 2 slots) the nautilus coils are nice and vape like a carto but I don't trust them.

Kanger Aerotank Mega - Kanger Aerotank - Kanger - Clearomizers Tanks

Aerotank Upgraded Dual Coils

The Delta is a great tank. I tried it but I do have a few issues with it.

1 -The airflow is open from 3 areas and I like a one hole air flow. To me it makes a difference in how tight or how airy I like a draw.

2 - It really needs a higher wattage device to take full advantage of it's 3 coil set up.

3 - Because of higher wattage needed to take full advantage of it's coil, the vape is more intense which means you will have to lower your nic level ( like a Kayfun for example )

Nautilus

1 - vapes very well but I don't trust the metal used. The metal will rust and and oily substance will plague the center airhole where the coil screws on it.

2- I don't trust the coils either. There was even a youtube video of how tiny parts or pieces were coming from the coil.

3- drip tip will rust also. Yes you can replace it but what about issues number 1?

These are my opinions. Hope you find something that works for you

New2vaps:

I'm looking at the Aero tank now...I do think I would like this! why would some one want to get the sub ohm coils over the dual coils or the upgraded dual coils? So you just use the dual coils over the upgraded (covered) kind? The picture of the dual coils looks exactly like the basic universal coils I currently use for my evod, Aro, and mt3s...but Im assuming there is actually a difference correct? Thank you so much for all the info!

The 1.5 ohm dual coil and the sub ohm dual coil are both the upgraded version. Only difference is the ohms. Some coils will come with 2 large holes ( 1 on each side ) and some will come with 4 small holes ( 2 on each side ) I prefer the 2 large holes ( 1 on each side ).

By the way, the Protank 3 coils which are dual coils will also work on the Aero Mega tank. However the latest coils Kanger has released are in the link I provided for you which are the upgraded dual coils.

To my knowledge these coils will not work on the EVOD but will work on the EVOD GLASS and EVOD 2.

Why use the sub ohm coil? Besides burning more juice and draining your battery faster you might get a little bit more flavor and vapor. I never tried them. The lowest I will go for economical value and safety is 1.5.

I have both the Nautalus and the Aerotank Mega so ill give you the skinny as I see it. Im primarily a cartotank user (ibtanked) but I bought one of each just to see how clearomizers have changed since I stopped using them.

The Nautalus with the BVC coils give me a fantastic vape (when its not flodded from sitting on its side from beeing in my zip case to long. Thats my only gripe with them other than the fact that I can't (read:dont want to) rebuild them.

The Aerotank Mega gives a fantastic vape but when you fill it up it looks only half full. Just a visual thing but sometimes when I glance at it I panic for a second and think I need to fill it again. Plus if you have any, the older dual coils with the chimney (that I rebuild with a single coil with rayon) fit and work beautifully with it, so I dont have to buy anymore coils for it!

Over all im really impressed with both, but I think the Aerotank edges the Aspire out for me just because of the coils.

Plus it looks really good on my Provari!

Got my ET-S and BVC coils this afternoon, I really recommend buying some. My juices taste completely different using these. With both Kanger single and dual coils most liquids tasted burnt above 7.5 watts, and I couldn't get much favor out of the dual coils at any wattage. I'm running the BVCs at 10 watts and the flavor is amazing. With blended flavor juices it really brings out the subtle flavors in the background, I'm getting flavors I couldn't taste at all with my Kanger clearos. Can bring out different flavors by adjusting wattage a bit. With my Kangers I only got decent flavor at 7 watts, lower and there was almost no flavor, higher and they tasted burnt. The BVC coils produce huge vapor clouds too. I can't speak to longevity of the coils yet, but unless they crap out in a couple days my Kangers just got replaced.

Not sure what is going on with your Kanger coils. I have been vaping my 1.5ohm dual coils between 9.5 - 10 watts with great flavor and vapor.
