I *think* I've decided on a second setup

I'll admit, I suffer from decision making paralysis, especially when it comes to vape equipment since I am a relative newbie and there is so much out there. I've been filling carts on various websites for weeks now, trying to make up my mind.

I wanted a second setup that was similar to but different from my Subox Mini. I wanted the ability to do single or dual coils, easy to fill, easy to build on and wick, and something that I could move up on if I wanted to.

I've considered the iPV D2, Sigelei, and the Evic VTC Mini for mods. And the Zephyrus, Goblin Mini, Lemo 2, Bellus, and now the Goliath V2.

I've decided on the Evic VTC Mini with a Goliath V2 tank. I'm pretty sure it meets my needs, and it gets good reviews.

What does ECF think?

The VTC comes 60 watts. There is an upgrade to 75 watts, which I made. But realistically getting a single 18650 to maintain these levels just doesn't happen with the VTC. I've noticed with mine, and I usually set it to 40 watts in TC mode, that when the battery indicator gets down to halfway, the device doesn't like my .12 ohm coils. It will lay down. If I reduce the level to 30 watts, I can get a little more vape time with it. But it can't maintain full output quite as long as I'd like. With higher resistance coils though, the VTC does very well.

If you're planning on running these mid to upper watt levels, I'd recommend getting a mod with a dual battery configuration.

You have been on ECF long enough to know that what you really want is Volcano Lavabox coupled with a Mutation X MT RTA ;) .

I still feel like a newbie when I come to the boards and read about all the stuff everyone else has/is building. Maybe it isn't so much being a newbie as it is wanting to keep it relatively simple.

ETA: I definitely don't need 200W. I like that the battery on my mod can last a day and a half to two days!

The tank looks nice though!

I'm good sitting at 35W with my RDA, 22-25 with my tank. I don't necessarily want an upgrade from what I have, I like it. I just want a second device.

I've had an IPV D2 for awhile now and love it. I don't think you can go wrong with it.... Lemo 2 only does single coil builds and the others are slightly harder to build on because of the small deck. If you're wanting something easy to build duals on that will make you happy.... I'd have to personally suggest the aromamizer.

That VTC Mini is a sweet little mod. LOVE that screen.

The D2 is a great little mod also.

I'm over the TC thing but they work great as regular mods as well.

I don't have that tank. It looks solid though. Another to consider is Chuthulu V1 if you can find one or maybe a V2. They run great in your sweet spot.

It regards to my earlier post, I've posted 2 pics just to show you its size and build deck for reference. It might just be because I'm a P4U fanboy, Idk lol. (their devices have always treated me well but I know not everyone has had the same good fortune) but I personally prefer the aromamizer if you're comfortable with building and because of its size. I can run a dual coil 24 gauge, 5 wrap, 3mm on my IPV D2 with a samsung 25r all day at 40 watts. Occasionally, I'll have to swap batteries but not very often throughout the day. Pretty stealthy lil setup with lots of potential imo

Did you look at the new provari radius yet? With boost turned on especially, it makes for a great dripper driver.

No temp control but i can tell you that it does produce a slightly smoother vape side by side with my sigelei and hex ohm, same exact dripper coils juice. It is 'just' 40 watts but its not like 40 watts i've used on my others. Not a huge difference, but there is one. And they have a track record of producing stuff that will last for years.

I fear pretty soon the market may change significantly. So having some good long lasting devices makes me feel better at least.

Anyways just an idea. Happy shopping whatever you get :)

Everyone needs a Lemo 2. I just bought a Bellus clone from Fast Tech and already own a Goliath v2. With temp control, I use the Lemo 2 more then any tank. I do not like the Zephyrs it leaks on me sometimes. I own a Sigeli 75 and it stinks in power mode. Battery drains too quick, but with Temp mode, its awesome. You can buy all those tanks for nearly ten bucks from Fast Tech. Good luck!

I looked. Liked the shiny. Saw the $200 price tag. Had an aneurysm. Reocvered. Did some googleing. Verified that I can buy 3 SW200's with batteries for the same price. Or 6 100W iStinks. Or 6 CoolFireIV's. Or 5 60W iStink TC's. Or 10 nice mechs. Or... I guess my vapeocalypse kit will contain a wide variety of budget mods rather than just one really nice one. It sure is shiny though! :thumb:
