I've only been vaping properly for just over a week, and have been surprised that I don't want tobacco flavours that much at all (quite liking fruit for an ADV, and used DV Orangella most of yesterday).

However, I have been on a bit of a quest to find the right "analog taste" for strong cravings and drinking alcohol.

Until yesterday I was mixing DV American Red and Jac Real tobacco, it was OK but not quite there. Today I had some new liquids delivered.

I went for Villain Vapors Capone and Space Jam Eclipse.

I've smelled the Capone but it seems a bit too sweet and vanilla-like for what I'm looking for so I decided to vape some Eclipse first. I think I've come as close to the taste of cigarettes as I need to now. Nice and savoury, without that popcorn flavour that seems to characterise a lot of tobacco liquids. I think it'll probably be the one I reach for with a beer, or if I start to really crave a cigarette.

The journey continues...

Sure it's been discussed before, but what cigarette-like liquids do other people like?

Until it disappeared from the menu, Orangutan from ITC Vapes (Turkish tobacco with banana-nut bread) was my pick for this role. I explored 5 from NiteLite Vapors, and while they were all very good-tasting they're all 65pg, and I was used to a fuller vapor with 50/50 at that point so was left a little wanting. As of yesterday, I'm onto Applewood Tobacco from Slim's E-Juice, and I think that's my new thing. We'll see if it sticks.

I still have a large stock of Orangutan, so there's no panic yet. :)

I'm interested to know the ratio of my Space Jam Eclipse actually. It says PG first in the ingredients and the throat feel does imply it's higher in the ratio but I can't find the percentages anywhere. Does anyone know?

(I can't quite believe I just said "the throat feel does imply it's higher in the ratio" after just 8 days vaping ;-) I've learned so much so fast!

PS. Only had 1.5 cigs since the start of the weekend. None at all in the last two days. Not too shabby :)

Closest to smoking a cig for me is flavorless eliquid. Nothing will really come close to smoking taste as people want though, tobacco eliquids always tasted like old wet nasty tobacco smell to me.
You should try dekang desert ship. Closest I have found. To me ry4 tastes like prunes.

"Honestly, to me, the perfect "Analog" taste to me is straight up Unflavored....."

Hearing this a lot. I may put it to the test, although my desire for anything that actually tastes like that lessens by the day!

Honestly though I found that not trying to get close to a smoking a cigarette taste was a lot better when it came to separating myself from smoking analogs. I think people feel if they replicate cigarette smoking as close as possible including taste they will somehow be more successful at quitting smoking but I think it makes you crave them more.

I have been smoke free and vaping for over 4 years now and recently I bought a new green tea/mandarin orange/lemon flavor that some how translated in to an analog/tobacco taste/feel to me and I seriously wanted a cigarette, I stopped vaping it LOL

Loved the taste of almost all the NiteLite liquids, and would have been vaping them all along for 3 years.....except that 65% PG stopped me in my tracks. Just can't vape all that PG. It's too bad because their flavors are very good

I agree. I'm already vaping other flavours more often than not, and oddly I don't want an actual analog taste AS SUCH. It's hard to describe...I already think normal cigs taste / smell horrible, but I do still want a kind of savoury mouth filling taste, especially with an alcoholic drink. The Eclipse is the closest I've found to what I mean so far :)

RY4 ejuice thing is interesting......
RY4's can be good, but some of them are just pure :censored: juice. They are a tobacco (of indeterminate type) mixed with caramel, vanilla, and (indeterminate) other flavors. My old B&M has a good one. Light tobacco in the background with a maple flavor, but not cloying. Good stuff. I got some TFA Double RY4 looking to make my own. Tastes like a pecan soaked in gasoline. There are so many variants out there it's hard to pick one without tasting it first, but a good RY4 is awesome.

Just had a little go with the Capone - not nearly so impressed. Sweeter (not what I was after) and lacking a bit in flavour overall, and somehow catches in my throat a little despite tasting so much weaker. Back I go to the Eclipse!

It's great that you found one that pleases your smoker-tastebuds; the one I used, virginia from myfreedomsmokes, is apparently not available any longer, which is a real shame for Virginia Slims smokers trying to switch to vaping.

Just hang with that flavor that you like, as much as you like, as long as you like. Later, after your tastebuds have healed from the smoke, you'll probably like the sweeter one (and a lot of other sweet flavors) a lot better, but some folks really need to "fool" their habit by vaping something that seems "cigarette-ish" when first switching. Whatever it takes to stay smoke-free, that's exactly the right thing to use!

Welcome to ECF!

I have to edit my previous comment about Virginia not being available from MFS -- it *IS*, but now it's called "virginia tobacco"! To me, the flavor was amazingly similar to the flavor of Virginia Slims cigarettes. I smoked ultra-lights, so vaping it was more like going back to the Lights, more flavor, more TH. Now I can't stand it, but it got me off cigarettes, so I would gladly recommend it to anyone who liked Slims.

Charlie Noble Pistachio RY4 is my nightly beer vape. So good. I don't bring it to work for a couple reasons. I'll vape it all without blinking, and it tastes even better when I know it's waiting for me all day. That beer and PRY4 after work always gives me something to look forward to.

Ooo, I will have to try that soon! I've had a 30mil. bottle steeping for a while, so it should be good to go now. So far, I'm digging all of the CN that I've tried out of the sample pack, aside from the fruits. I'm learning I'm not a really big fruit vape fan, but they are still good/vapeable, so they won't go to waste.
