I started a post here last week about how I've figured it out that what I was missing with the e-cig as opposed to an anolog was the fact that I couldn't get that smooth, deep inhale. In turn, alot of you good people had some recommendations, including trying a 510 to 901 adapter.
Well, that purchase arrived today and for the last hour, I've been happily vaping with my 510 and new 901 atty. What a difference! I can't believe the smoothness of it or the fact that I can actually hold the vapor in my lungs for a moment without coughing my brains out! So far, this feels exactly like what I've been missing and I want to thank those who helped get me to this point.
I only have one more question...after reading about the long battery life of the ego, that might be my next step. (After stocking up on atties of course) But would my new adapter and 901 atty work on it as well?

The Ego was built for the 510, although the attys seem to be the same thickness the atty would stick out of the top cone quite a bit, especially with the adapter on it. I use the mega 510 carts and they stick out of the cone a bit also.

I think that the usage of the cone on a 510 is to make the atomizer warmer and create better vapor, you might not get this same effect while using an adapter and a 901.

I have not tried it myself so I could not say for sure how much you vaping experience would be changed by using the 901 v. the 510.

Hmmm. Good point. I never took the cone into consideration. Oh well...I'm still happy with what I've got right now - I just thought the longer battery life would be the icing on the cake.
Any ideas on if the 901 battery lasts longer than a 510 battery?

Since you do like the 510, you might want to also look into the XL or extended 510 batteries. They cost just a few dollars more but they are a full one inch longer and really make a difference in times between chargings.
Cheaper way to extend your vaping time until you decide if you want to go the extra bucks for the Ego.
Oh, BTW, welcome and glad you found something that's helping you kick those analogs.

Thanks Cliff. I've actually been vaping since January but wasn't getting anywhere in my attempts to quit (or at least cut back on) the analogs. Now I'm just crossing my fingers that my new 901 atty will be just what I was missing. So far, so good.
Extended 510 batteries? I'm not sure if anyone here in Canada sells them and I haven't had any success before in trying to locate any US dealers who'll ship to Canada. Guess I'll just have to keep my eyes open for that.

Sweet, totally wicked has exclusive rights to distributing the 510 mega bat the way I understand it. So totally wicked UK will sell you some.

They are the only bat I use and I can highly recommend them. They also sell them by the 5 pack which is the way I order them.

Awesome! I just checked the US site and that certainly looks like something I might be interested in. But...payday's a few days away. Thanks for your help!

Since you seem to be wanting to go with 901 atomizers, you might want to check into using KR808D-1 batteries. They are said to last longer than the 510s and I don't think you will need an adapter for them. But do consider the fact that they run at a higher voltage (3.7v) than the 510 batteries (3.1v) so it may be counterprodutive as far as giving you a smooth vape.

Also, don't give up on the idea that the 910 atomizers with adapter will NOT work in the eGo/Tornado until someone tells you that they definitely will not, because I think they probably do but could be wrong.

Not sure about this. I know that heaven-gifts sell the 510 mega batteries.

For what it's worth, a Chuck with 18650 batteries and your choice of adapter will run for several days without a recharge. I switch batts once a day or so... forgot what it was like to run a battery out.

I missed switching my batteries several days in a row once, and when the battery died I was freaking out. My Chuck is broke! Or my atomizer died! ...ohh, dead battery.
