So far I've been lucky enough to have received what I ordered. I've ordered from them several times over the past year and only had 2 mess ups which isn't too bad. They fixed it so I can't complain. I love their new juice line..Bandit Berry, Banana Breeze, and No. 7 are my favorite 3. Stocked up on the 40% off sales but still waiting on one more order to arrive.

No, they are all too expensive.....

I think in January I am going to start checking out different cats at shelters and stuff.....I don't have major allergies, they aren't too bad....maybe try holding one at a time and see how bad I'm suffering an hour later....apparently from what I am reading, people aren't always allergic to all brands of cats.....some have more allergens than others....its something I'm considering trying out...if I find a cat that doesn't give me too much of an allergic reaction, I may consider taking allergy pills....I've read about shots too but they can take up to a year to be effective....

I haven't lived with a cat for a long time, but I had cats as a child and it wasn't a problem then....sigh......adult onset allergies suck

Keep this in mind when looking at kitties, they all need a bath. My daughter is allergic to them but we have 5 in the house. They get a monthly bath and she doesn't have to take allergy meds. If we forget, well, her breathing acts up. Once bathed, it goes back to normal. Hopefully you'll find you a good kitty. I would stay away from medium and long hairs as their spit has a tendency to stick in their coats more (softer thick coats are bad for that). Short hairs are easier to maintain and bath. Not as soft but easier to keep up. Daily brushings will help with allergies also even for short hairs.

Sorry OP for derailing your thread.

Oh something I can help with (I like cats)! First off get a female. Males produce more allergenic secretions than females unless you neuter them which makes them less "potent" lol. Also lighter colored cats seem to be more hypo-allergenic than dark colored cats. You could look into getting a Sphynx, Siberian, Balinese and oriental shorthairs. There's a few cats out there that are more hypo-allergenic than other cats. Maybe look into that and see if you can find a cat that will work for you. I had a friend that was allergic to cats but loved my kitties so much she'd take a pill when she knew she was coming over so she could play with them. :) good luck!

on topic:
Im sure they are busy but its holiday season so they are used to it. Hopefully they are making good business and things are going well!

My sister found the Ocecat - she fosters when the shelter is overflowing, and this one was such a sweet little kitty that my wife and I took her in. She's a beautiful tabby color, but with the spots instead of stripes. The Russian Blue I fostered as she had babies too young to be weaned yet, and then I wound up keeping her and finding homes for her 2 kittens. She's a gorgeous deep blue/gray. But her coat is really, really thick, and she's the one that occasionally causes some allergies. She is so good with my two small boys, though. Lets them carry her around, hug her, squeeze her, etc, and almost never scratches unless they are really hurting her (we try to avoid that).
I'm a bit if a crazy old man with cats - I've had as many as 7 living with me, although I only have two right now. Kids kind of change the equation of how many 'people' you can take care of.

Lol, not to add to the derailment or anything, but... I know what you mean (minus the kid part). We've had as many as 8 cats and 5 dogs at a time. But we moved to a much smaller place and we're pretty full with 3 cats and 4 dogs right now.

You can ALWAYS distract me by getting me talking about my cats, or my kids, not necessarily in that order :)

I grew up with a Maine .... - huge cat, 30 lbs and all of it size, not fat, who just walked into our house when I was 5 and never left. He used to sleep in my bed, under the covers, with his head on my pillow. We grew up together. I've had cats ever since, and probably always will.
Can't do dogs - kids are badly allergic to them.
With my new vaping habit, though, I need to teach the cats to quit stealing my carto condoms. One of mine loves to carry them around and play with them.
