I'm in the same boat. I've been using an eGo since I started, and I'm wanting to try a 5v mod. I've been reading on how to make one, but it kind of makes me nervous. I'd rather just buy one that someone has already made. The nice looking ones are way too expensive for me however, so I'm just looking for some kind of cheap box mod.

Here and back
I too started with the small batt cigs (510 and 808). It wasn't long, just a few weeks, before I ordered my first 5V (PureSmoker V2). Then another V2, then 2 Prodigy Pass Throughs, then 2 NHaler XHaler's. I wish, looking back, that I had just gone straight to the XHaler and been done with it. I use Drew's drip tips and life is wonderful. They always work, no switch problems and great TH and Vapor. You won't be sorry.

Ive been using LR atty's on my eGo right out of the box.. the eGo kit i ordered from Nhaler.com came with an LR atty.. before that i was recklessly using LR atty's on my 510 Mega Batt...

I am a huge fan of the vapor prodution... the Th.. the warmth of the vapor.. everything about the LR atty on the eGO.. EXCEPT for 1 thing... the lifespan of the LR atty's is greatly reduced. and as a result.. makes this set up "un economical" for ME.

that being said.. im ordering a GLV 2 this upcoming friday.

Ive looked at the xhaler.. but it doesnt exactly run at 5v.. based on what ive read you have to unsrew the bottm cap just a lil bit to get it from 6v to 5v... personally doesnt sound like something i want to fidget with...

Edited: The Joker looks promising.. but they are out of stock and cannot determine when production will continue...

The glv looks awesome especially considering the fact I live in Michigan but they are out of stock and how many volts is the glv?

The GLV comes in 3 voltage options...

GLV Mini @ 3.7v
GLV 2 : @ 5v or 6v... 5v cap has a resistor installed

Also,, you can use the GLV Mini w/ a full sized GLV tube to make it run @ 6v..

buying a 5v PT is a great idea to see if you are gonna enjoy 5v vaping.. i bought my 5v PT from Madvapes.com... 13-14.00... best investment ive made in regards to vaping hardware...
