It depends what you want out of a mod. Even a 3.7v mods will give you a bit more heat and let you use dual coil cartos etc. And there are some really big ones with a lot of charge. Or maybe you'd like variable voltage (though I think the most popular one Provari won't use the dual coils)

Here is the mods database - see what you like and then come back and research its reliability and function here

looking to find a cheap mod im tired of ego egot carts and tanks want to try something bigger better any ideas? no box mods not a fan:glare:

For a decent, affordable tube mod, check out parkesvaping.com. The Diamond mod will stand on it's end, the Shine and Pawz mods will not. They also sell affordable CE2 tanks and carto tanks as well as e-liquid. You'd have to get batteries and a charger from a different vendor. Super T Manufacturing and RTD Vapor are both excellent vendors for batteries & chargers.

Good luck in your search.

Other Places
For variable voltage - ProVari by provape.com or Buzz Pro by notcigs.com...I prefer the Buzz but hubby likes the ProVari's.

For a fixed voltage -
Silver bullet by altsmoke.com. Very well constructed.
Shine Mod by parkesvaping.com. Very nice and won't break the bank.
Riva Indulgence V3 by elitevaporworks.com. I'm really impressed with this $40 mod.
GLV2 5V by greatlakesvapor.com. Please keep in mind this runs at 5V and is costly to the above mentioned mods.
Maxi Roughstack V2 by madvapes.com. Another mod that you can use as a hockey puck..in a good way. It's built to last. $50

The Infinity Pro is the latest generation of the Buzz Pro. Same electronics, 3 Amp limit vs. the Provaris 2.5 amp. And the Buzz/Infinity use a Buck Regulator which is more efficient than the Provari's Boost Regulator. Less wasted heat and longer battery life.

And the Buzz/IP use a simple thumb wheel to adjust voltage. Faster and more intuitive for many than the Provari's buttons. The provari does have a digital display for voltage and resistance which the Buzz/IP doesn't (need : ).

I chose the IP over the Buzz for form factor, very cool looking to me in chrome with chrome caps. And over the Provari for efficiency, maximum power, and ergonomics.

There's a lot of choices out there.

I have a few boxes of 1.25 ohm and 1.5 ohm Dual Coils, and my Infinity Pro fires them hot and hard. And the battery lasts a long time of heavy vaping.

For someone asking recommendations for a new mod I can't recommend a Provari. If it was 2010 yes, but the technology is moving FAST in this hobby and the Provari is getting long in the tooth. I'm sure Provape is just about ready to update the Provari line. It has to if it wants to keep up.

Why buy a variable voltage device that you can only use certain cartos on? Um seriously?

My predictions for a Provari update will include a Buck regulator, ditching the Boost Regulator. And an increase in the amperage of the unit. (unless notcigs patent applications on VV come through first) Within the next 2-3 months.

But anyway I'm not bashing, just in all good faith can't recommend obsolete tech to someone looking for info on a new mod purchase. If he or she buys a Provari he's going to be unhappy when the upgrade comes and he's gonna want to shell out more hard-earned cheddar for something with more power and efficiency.

Not to mention get tired of pushing buttons how many times to do what can be turned with a simple flick of the thumb.

Bells and whistles on old tech vs. the new stuff.

The Infinity Pro can handle anything you can throw at it right now including "ridiculously low resistance" dual and triple coil cartos.

Oh the base model is also $60 dollars cheaper.
