Ok - just got my Silver Bullet - using it with 3.7 and 6v bats....Loving it !!!

...this is the thing? Will I see a huge difference with (the Provari) from what I like? With 3.7 I use LR attys (or carts). With 6v I use 4.5 ohm attys. Both of these combo's give me that "sweet spot" feeling.

Considering I just bought my SB (and quite happy with it) should I just hold off on getting the Provari?

I think I'm getting addicted to buying the latest (greatest) mod out there.

I do wish they had it in Silver Vein. I LOVE that finish!!!

Thanks

I have a vari and it is a great device. I only use it as an ohm meter and occasionally when I have a carto that just needs a specific voltage applied for whatever reason to get a good vape. Like a carto that is supposed to be 2.8ohm but comes in at 3.2 or something and 4.4v is perfect for it. The only thing I'd say is the battery life isn't quite there with the vari. The IMR batteries work well but don't have the mah to last me all day. half the day maybe. Bottom line is it is a great device that I would get to fill a role but not expect it to be my main pv. I use the lowly ego 90% of the time and a mod like your SB at 6v for dual coils 3% the vari 1% and misc. others 1%. And while the vari will do 6v vaping that depletes batteries in no time, I'm talking an hour or two because it is a boosted single battery mod. So really its realistic use for me is from 3.3-4.5v which is great to have the control, but the battery life varies wildly depending on what voltage you have it set at. So like I said it has it's place. It is a great addition to my vaping gear, I just use it more as a tool and backup.

I love my vari, its my all day vape but I carry 4 batteries with me. I really want a 5v regulated Silver Bullet though...especially seeing one with a 5ml vapinator on it, stunning! BTW...I drop my vari at least twice a week...never had any problems with it...theres a guy in the review section who drops his purposly on a cement floor to show the durability.

I've been vaping for 2 years and the list of mods I've purchased would be ridiculously long (if I could even remember them all). Since receiving my Provari back in January, I have not used anything else. It has not had one problem during this time and I know of few if any problems being raised by the hundreds of people who have purchased them so I'm not sure how they could improve the reliability. I've owned a SB and while it's an iconic device, it's not in the same league as the Provari. Having the power regulated, to me, is the biggest thing. It hits the same way from the first hit until you change the battery. Concerning the battery life, I have an extendion cap but simply don't use it. I use a 2.0Ω Boge Carto in a tank at 4.0 volts and the 18490 battery lasts me about 10 hours minimum. Mind you, if you were putting out 5 volts I'm sure it would last a considerably shorter time. To sum it up, I've never been happy with a mod for more than a few months but since receiving the Provari, there is no reason to look at anything else. With a Carto Tank on it I'm good to go for the entire day.
PS. I just ordered a second unit for my wife!

After my first Provari went in for a service, I vowed only to keep the replacement unit on my desk. Wood. Since then it's dropped about 6-8 times. Mostly getting knocked over on the desk, once or twice dropped on the floor. The LED cover snapped off, and the electronics went faulty.

the build quality is great. I have sent mine flying out of my lap across concrete probably 10 times with barely a mark. I'm sure some have broken but they are by no means easy to break. They will break more easily than something like an SB, simply because there is more to go wrong. most tube mods are just a metal tube with a switch. The provari has electronics, soldier points, and so on so not indestructible but don't let horror stories scare you. It is a solid device and like others have said a regulated device is the best vape you can get.

The silver bullet is a great mod,so is the provari. The provari has the ability to use almost any resistance atomiser and set the volts to satisfy the need to get that perfect hit,no more lr,no more specific atomisers to get the right combination of Volts and ohms. With the addition of my backpack budget top feed,it has become my most used pv,and I got a bunch of very nice choices
