I love the Vanilla flavor from Smokeless image. But I am starting to get tired of cartomizers already... I have a volt. It's excellent. But i hate the burned taste the cartomizers start to get over time. I also would like to actually know when I'm getting ready to run out of juice without having to taste that 'burn'.

What is my next step? I now know plenty about the Volt and the KR808D-1 model, but I know nothing about other models. Can you just fill up a cigg with juice and vape away without any filling? I think the filling in the cartos might taint the taste. Am I wrong about this? Just what the heck am I asking for here?

Help!

Thanks!

Hmmm...this is the kind of question that gets many answers - all different because YMMV.

Generally, in my experience, the CE2/3 type Clearomizer gives a muted flavor but lots of vapor.
Good quality cartos with filler (like Boge) seem to taste clean straight from the box and give good flavor.
Dual coil cartos with filler seem to give me the best flavor - but you have to be very careful and make sure they are kept wet lest they give you that skanky burnt taste.

But (sigh) YMMV

Hey 4am, I got a ego-t yesterday and it's pretty amazing. No cartos just a tip that you can drip 1.5 ml or so of juice. Then you can just rinse it with water when you want to change flavor. No filler material in them at all. It's literally just a tank that you fill. Here have a look. You sound exactly like me a week or so ago, looking for something different and a way to get around using cartos. I dont know about "more" flavor though I cant really say. This fit the bill for me. images[4].jpg

I really wish I could give you a definitive answer, but as Eddie pointed out, what I like may not be what you like. By and large, I recommend looking at 5V regulated and standard resistance (~2.5 to 3 ohms) attys/carts. But before you do, experiment some by getting some lr equipment for your volt. The kanger 2.0 ohm horizontal SINGLE coil might be a good place to start. It's a little different design as the filler sits above the coil instead of the coil being in the middle. It's next on my list of things to try.

I have an ego, an e-power and a 5v PT. I'm happy with them, because I'm using attys and cartos in the 2.0 to 2.5 range. So, what's the difference? I'm finding that a 2.5 to 3.0 ohm will last longer at 5V that a 1.7 to 2.0 ohm will last at 3.2V (my ego).

So again, I suggest trying low ohms to simulate hv vaping to see if it does the trick for you, and if it does go the 5V regulated or VV route.

Sounds like your pretty satisfied with it but are ordering pre-filled cartos which run out quickly. If you like the Vanilla flavor from SE then you can get blank cartos from them or some just like them from other places and purchase the Vanilla liquid for SE and fill them yourself. For a filler carto they are really good with the bottom coil design, hard to burn and last as long or longer than any other filler carto for me, just keep em wet which shouldn't be a problem if you have your own juice.

try the Ressurector Cartos. They give great flavor and produce a LOT of vapor. CCV has them in clear now also so you can see how much juice you have left and when they need a refill.
If you like dripping I would get a HH .357 Hybrid atomizer from AvidVaper. They hands down give the best flavor you can get from an atomizer. They are expensive at $22, but if you take care of them they can last at least 6 months, and then the $22 isnt really that bad

I've been using the smoktech dual coils for a couple months now, and they are actually VERY forgiving on not burning. However Smoktech's quality control is rather rubbish, so i'm currently waiting on a syringe so i can try out some CE2's ive been holding onto for a while. Also if you are looking for flavor, maybe try dripping? It's not practical when you're running about, but when you want to sit down at home and actually enjoy a good vape session, it might be a good option?

Unfortunately, ALL cartomizers burn but, it can be avoided if properly filled and kept wet at all times. Topping it off when the flavor diminishes is a good way of doing this. If you get a slight hint of a burnt flavor then immediately toss it. Here's a thread with a plethora of information that will inform you of the dangers and measures you should take to avoid this:

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...10-kr808-4081-etc-filler-type-cartos-621.html

There are a LOT of veterans on that thread that are always eager to help people out with cartomizer issues. Learned a lot from that thread myself and think it would be beneficial for you to check it out.

If you really want a cleaner flavor from your vape then you might wanna upgrade and get some atomizers. If you don't like dripping then you might want to consider bottom feeders. It's what I like to use which takes out the hassle while receiving all the benefits that an atomizer can give you.

CE2's/clearomizers/fluxomizers are filler-less cartomizers. Some people love them while others hate them. They either take modifications in order for them to work well or they have major leaking issues. Although, Fluxomizers have had some good reviews here and there.

If you want to stick with a KR808, Bill in the supplier section has igos. I believe you can use your Volt cartos on it if you wanted to. But I'd check with him first. About $40-45 depending on battery size. You can even get an adaptor for it and use 510 cartos, clearomizers. He also has the echo-e with a 1300 mah batteries and 5 echo-e dual coil cartos.
