I want to try Avejuice, but have a serious concern... (hint: VG)

I'm still pretty new to vaping. I got my Sidesho a year ago but finally gave up analogs for good and made the switch and am now hooked on vaping.

I was going to order a sample pack from Avejuice until I realized that they only sell VG; from my limited experience with high VG juice, I don't like it at all.

To make a long story short, I ordered some juices from Backwoods Brew (was my first e-juice order). I ordered Waffle (love it!!!), Applewood (love it!!!), Cherry Tobacco (love the flavor, but not enough TH for me), and finally, Malty Toffee (did not like at all). I couldn't figure out why I didn't like the Malty Toffee. It seemed bland and flavorless and I couldn't figure out why until I saw on the Backwoods Brew homepage that all of their juices are 70/30% PG/VG, except Malty and Malty Toffee which are 30/70% PG/VG.

This, of course, prompted me to read up on the differences between the two, and from what I've read VG is a lot lighter on flavor than PG.

Flavor and TH are much more important to me than vapor production so even though I haven't been vaping very long, I consider myself a PG man, and considering that all Avejuice is either 100% VG or 90% VG, I'm thinking that I might end up wasting my money. I'm just wondering if anyone can weigh in on this for me. I'm currently strapped for cash and don't wanna end up wasting money on juices that are going to be too light in flavor for my tastes.

Any help here is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Well from my experience bobas bounty is one of the most flavor packed juices out there. It's defenitly not lackin throat hit either at 24mg. But that's my opinion it's one of those juices that u love or just don't care for but a forewarning is if u don't like it at first give it a couple of days to grow on you because when I first tried it I was meh it's ok.... 2 days later I was scrapping that 6ml sample to get every last drop

I, too, really dislike the taste of VG. However, some vendors use different VGs. Usually if the juice is on the thinner side when I order (either 80/20 PG/VG or 70/30) the VG isn't as pronounced. If you really want to try the juice, just get a small sampler. There are lots of vendors who have options to choose your PG/VG preference, and some have their own "blends" but might make your juice to your preference.

I generally don't go any higher than 12mg nic 'cause I have a tendency to chain vape. Except for the one bottle of 24MG juice I use for my morning "pick me up." Thanks though.

Yeah, maybe I'll just try one sample bottle since that wouldn't set me back too much. I just wish they offered PG. Anyone know why Avejuice is so "anti-PG" anyway?

Yes, VG is lighter in TH but has more flavor and produces more vapor as well. From what I've read than AVE will be a good choice for you. They do offer mostly VG juices due to people having a hard time with PG.

Some have reported having a sore throat and other related issues with it. Which is why some people prefer to use 100% VG and AVE is one of the vendors that provide juices that cater to their needs.

Most of the juices I've tried from them are really good. Others don't like it for various reasons. Getting one or two 6 ml bottles of flavors that your most interested in to try out. Taste is very subjective and what some find are great to them. Others will find that it is not for them. For example, I mentioned that I HATE VR4. Others really love this juice and swear by it.

AVE is actually one of the top vendors on this forum and have a tremendous fan base such as BWB. The most talked about juices from AVE are: Boba's Bounty, Gorilla Juice, Hype, Sweet tart, and Havana Gold.

That's weird, because everywhere I've read and from my own (very limited, admittedly) experience, PG is supposed to be much more flavorful than VG... Guess I'm gonna have to try AVE though since I could be missing out on something wonderful.

It's commonly accepted that PG = flavor/TH and VG = vapor, but there are exceptions to every rule. AVE is one of the exceptions here. Somehow they've managed to produce 100% VG juice that is in no way lacking in flavor. How? Who knows!? Just give it a try...

Definitely give it a shot!!!

Do not deprive yourself of one of the best juices from one of the best vendors because of the 'General' rules. BWB is known for using light flavorings because some people (myself included) do not like a great deal of flavoring in their juices all of the time. However, Boba's Bounty is what I vape most of the day, every day. It's the juice I've purchased more than any other, well over 200ml.

I too vape 12mg and Boba's Bounty, in my opinion, has some of the BEST TH for a 12mg juice, period. That with the tons of vapor and super excellent flavor is probably why I cannot stop vaping it all day long. You simply just MUST give it a shot! But, I warn you, to only buy a 6ml sample you might be kicking yourself a day or two later.... I'd go with at least a 12ml (but really, I'd go with a 30ml ) If you don't like it, I'll buy it off of you!

I can't tell much of a difference between pg and vg to be honest. Even if it makes a huge difference to you, don't let it stop you from trying bobas bounty, there's a reason I've read about it in every other thread on this board...

I agree with Levitas, get the 30ml bottle of Boba's. If you don't like it and he won't buy it off of you I will. The rest might be OK to get the sample sizes. The TH on Boba is awesome, I even get nose hit. I'm down to the bottom of my bottle and new won't get here until Wedsday! I'm getting nervous. I'm gonna quit messing around with the 30ml bottles and just get 100's next time.

I know what you mean; I'm not a fan of high VG juices either. If it vape VG too much, I see to get all congested. 100% VG doesn't agree with me, plus it always seems to have a weird underlying flavor. However, I like VG/PG mixes. I like 50/50 blends because they still give great vapor production.
