I bought a ProTank that I have coming in the mail since I've heard all this about citrus or acidic juices breaking down plastic tanks.

I was wondering though.. because I'm looking for more cartos, if it would break down metal, too. I'm thinking about getting a Vivi Nova Mini and the metal tank and wanted to know if I'd still have to watch what juices I vape through it.

Does anyone have any experience vaping acidic juices through the Vivi Nova?
Or are there any other good glass tanks that could hold up?

No problem using cinnamon juice in my vivi nova with the metal tank replacement so far - 5+ weeks and no strange flavor (other than dry hits when I run empty - can't see the juice level - the metal tanks were designed to be used with the tank eating juices - same cinnamon juice in a generic stardust clearo fogged the tank in about 1 minute and cracked it in about 10 minutes

for reference the juice is Atomic Cinnacide from tasty vapor - very good

Thanks so much! I keep hearing everyone say to use glass, but I was looking for other tanks that I could maybe save some money (the ProTank was a bit pricey) and save myself some time by not always switching juices in my ProTank.

I just checked out phiniac though, and those look pretty awesome! I wish they had one with an owl. I'm in love with owls. :p

If you like the Pro Tank then give it a little time, the prices are coming down all the time now & subscribe to Deals & Steals here on the forum!
I'ld give you a link but I don't know how:(

Realize though with the ProTank (unless you drop it) the heads are replaceable and very inexpensive to use. Same with Vision Vivi Nova Metal Tank. My cost using the Vision Vivi is 15 cents per week.

Thanks! :)

I have another unrelated to my post question. :p I have my Spinner coming in the mail and I bought an EVOD tank and a ProTank. I've heard people talking about prepping them? I know myself, and know I'll want to get it all out and vaping ASAP, so before I get it (supposed to be here TOMORROW! YAY!) I was wondering how I should go about "prepping" it as to not mess up my whole set up.

Thanks for the link! How often should I replace the heads?

You're welcome. I don't own the ProTank but most clearomizer tanks work relatively the same. First of all the heads ( wick+ coil) can be cleaned. Washing with hot water OR for darker and/ or stronger juices they can be soaked in PGA, EverClear or high proof vodka. This is the first step in cleaning. After awhile the coil becomes "gunked up" with juice residue. To remove this gunk they are "dry burned" This turns the gunk into ash which can then be rinsed off.

I strongly recommend washing all tanks before use as "sometimes" there's machine oil in them. Manufacturers use the excuse that the machine oil protects them while being shipped...I believe it's just another example of low Chinese QC IMHO.

maybe they mean just cleaning it before use?

the protank can smell like a shoe box in the packaging it comes in

I wash mine out with hot water a few times before the first use - otherwise the juice can taste a bit weird at first

the EVOD, should be ok.. I guess just make sure the head is screwed on tight and what not

If you do buy the Vivi make absolutely sure you get the Vision brand. Knockoffs are problematic. My heads, with cleaning, are lasting 10+ weeks. Best for the Spinner is 2.4 ohms as it provides for the widest voltage range up and down. 1.8 ohms gives a warm vape. 2.8 ohms is meant for higher voltage PVs.
Best of Luck.

I was looking at the Vision brand ones, so that's good to know. :)

And thanks a ton for the video! That seems pretty easy and was broke down well. When he says to "put a few drips of liquid on" it, does it mean put it straight on that flavor wick while you're assembling it back together? And should I do this before I use it for the first time?

You're welcome and yes I really enjoy vids- makes it so much easier IMO.
After washing the clearo shake as much water as possible out before reassembling. Place 2-3 drops on the coil/ wick to prime it and you're good to go. This will help prime the wick so you don't get dry hits when you start.
Best of Luck.
