I was wrong! And I`m happy about it!

I`ve been less than impressed with cartos on my Ego, and have said it`s like sucking through a pillow, etc. Well today I got a 5V device from a friend, and had one last carto that I had yet to take my frustration out on. I filled it up and put it on the device. As soon as I hit the button I knew what the hype was instantly, before I even hit it. What warn and tasty vapor!!! I didn`t even put one of my favorite juices in it thinking I`d be wasting it, and it tastes as good as anything. WOW!

510 cartos at 5V, that`s what it takes to make these things work for me. Now Ive got to get an order in fast! I think my juice consumption may just go up a tad as well. I had all but given up on them, and couldn`t understand the hype. I get it now! Thanks ECF!!!!

You could get a 5v pass through (no intermediate battery) and try it out with your cartomizers. Link : 5 Volt 510 Manual USB Passthrough

I definitely liked cartomizers a lot better at high voltage.
Just be careful of burning the filler material.

If the cartomizer filler burns at 3.7v it is only more likely to do so at higher voltages.
So keep an eye on it and make sure to keep it good and wet.

sanfordf thanks for the idea might do that. DC2 yeah that`s concern I have I`m really being sure to keep it topped off, and I really don`t need to hit it very long at 5V.

I use 510 & 808 cartomizers on my 5v mod. I just cannot get atties and cartridges to perform as well as cartomizers! And, I love my 5v mod, I was without it for a couple days, and I was a crabby miserable mess trying to get my 3.7 batt to satisfy, or carrying my PT in and out of work, so I could use it in my truck too! Mods are well worth the money, if you get a good one.

You should try modified cartos on 7 V..fantastic..

My indulgence is 5v on the pt but only 3.7 or 6v without a chord attached.
I want to be able to cook and vape 5v LOL

You're welcome. I have used the 510 mega cartomizers from Nhaler (Blank 510 Mega Cartomizers) that are slightly higher ohms (3.4) at 6.4v without burning (shorter bursts though). At 3.7v, no burning at all. And they have lasted me a long time. I am still using some from 3 months ago and have yet to burn one out! YMMV. I do rotate multiple cartos/atties on 9 different units though, so no carto or atty is over used on any one day. And yes, I keep them wet and never let them completely dry out. I dedicate one flavor to each cartomizer and atomizer.

I just bought some of the mega Tornado cartridges/atties and mega cartomizers (holds 2.5ml) from : TORNADO-Accessories / Totally Wicked eLiquid / electronic cigarette eliquid nicotine fluid products
Janty will also have these for the EGO, but the Tornado versions will work with your EGO.
