I Wish People Wouldn't Be So Quick to Blame Vaping for Everything

I am looking for a better tobacco blend or at least a blend I do like. Seems I do not like the fruity blends or anything that is too sweet. Okay, for a few minutes, but not an all day vape. Been thinking about going totally flavorless or trying DIY for my own flavors...

Try this thread for some suggestions about tobacco flavors.

I think everything is going to be a bit sweet. PG/VG start out sweet, so we're kind of stuck.

Boba's Bounty comes from Alien Visions. Alien Visions E-Juice

I would also recommend tobacco flavors from FreedomSmokeUSA

People who report severe side effects from Chantix are often told that it's just withdrawal from nicotine, or the loss of their "lifelong friend," or something, not the drug. Well, we know that for some people it is the drug. People are so different in the way their bodies react it's rather pointless to speculate about what might be causing someone's symptoms. A process of eliminating possible causes is the only logical way to get a fix on what might be causing a particular side effect. In other words, if you're reacting differently than most people, you may have to experiment on yourself to figure out why.

One thing to think about is the research that shows smokers getting very different amounts of nicotine from the same number of cigarettes, because of differences in the way they smoke. That's the first thing I would look at, if I was noticing an increase in anxiety or a decrease in energy. But again, while pg may be perfectly innocuous in 99% of us, it's unlikely that it has no effect on some subset of users.

Some months after I started vaping when I began to develop dry eye, my immediate reaction was to blame it on the pg, although I know it's an age-related condition. But when I went to buy eye drops the ingredient list read: Propylene glycol, glycerine.

Ah, the old " A happened, then B happened, therefore A must have caused B" fallacy once again.

Correlation does not imply causation... It's like how we know that global warming is caused by the lack of pirates... :)

I have already thought of this. I am currently vaping 18 and 24mg juice so going to a higher juice may be difficult. I have thought about buying a non flavored 30ml bottle of 36mg just for spot vaping (I can cut it later to 18mg easy enough), but just have not found the right combination to try. I am using a 510 ego (650mah) atty with carts right now. Am not sure if I can use a drip tip with it or not?

Any suggestions?

Wait. I'm confused. Pirates still exist (Somolia for instance), so why do we have global warming?? Or is that a myth too? But then, if there's no global warming, what are the pirates doing here?? Gah.. :)

I cruise the forums to show how smart I am about ecigs, diagnose the symptoms of addiction, tease newbies, save the world, and stalk women :)

I hope your remarks aren't directed at anyone on these forums , because that would just be ignorant.

How could that possibly be aimed at anyone on here? Apparently the people on here are trying to vape. Seems to me you're just looking for things to get fussy about. Don't waste your time.
Almost didn't even respond to you but I figured I would seeing as you seem to be hung on getting offended.....
Welcome to ECF btw I'm sure you'll learn alot if you'd just listen...

we are here by choice... we WANT this to work. and the fact that someone would make a remark like that, is like a punch in the gut and a complete dismissal of our efforts.

You see what you want to see, don't you?
I in no way shape or FORM meant any of that.
Do you make lame excuses to keep smoking instead of vaping? If so, then YES it was aimed at you. But chances are, I wasn't directing my "remarks" towards some stranger I've never even heard of named Xiotaki
the world doesn't... well.... you know

ok so I haven't read the entire thread. I did however read the initial post. Kudos for making that distinction so many don't bother to connect the dots.
Side note: had emergency surgery this week and when asked if I was a smoker I responded with, I have not smoked for a year. I vaporize now. Only one person asked what that meant and when I explained they were duly impressed. I did note to them that I receive a small amount of nicotine when I vaporize. I watched them write in my charts "non smoker". That felt good.

So vaping and side effects might be correlated, but until we have further evidence we can not say anything has a causative relationship.

The only one I'm sure of:

vaping => less throat irritation => less mucous => less congestion => better breathing.

And probably significantly less chance of colds, bronchitis, pneumonia, COPD and pray to God, emphezema.
