I have a standard 3.5 smoktech tank and looking to get one of the 19 mm XL tank from IBtanked. According to IBtanked that will hold 2 ml of juice.

My question is does anyone have a picture of these 2 tanks together so I can get a size comparison? Plus what one would look on a Vamo would be great too.

Thanks!

I have both tanks, but no pics of them side by side. The 3.5 ml Smoktech tank (15mm) is significantly slimmer than the IBTanked (19mm).

The 6 ml Smoktech and XL IBTanked are essentually the same length and diameter.

I did find a pic of the 19mm XL IBTanked on a Vamo.

According to OCD, IBTanked will be offering a 22mm tank soon that will probably be the same diameter as a Vamo.

2 ml doesn't sound like a lot but a lot of people who make tanks include how much the carto can hold too, plus the tube is a little thick which is good because it is glass. And you thought an 18650 vamo is long? put an xl tank on it and it's rediculous. I use it 18350 mode. It's also perfectly flush with the itaste mvp cone.

I just wonder if the xl version would fit alright on a Vision Spinner? Thats what my mother uses and I would like to get her one too.
I can do that one, too. :D

I just read the smoktech glass tank doesn't work with 100%VG? Does the IB Tanked? All I want is a glass tank that will work with 100%VG for citric juices. I have researched and researched and can't find one. I just saw on SmokeTech website that they now have polypropylene sp? tanks and although I wanted glass... maybe this is the better route. I just don't want polycarbonate. Any suggestions?

The warning about using 100% vg e-liquid in a tank would apply to any tank regardless of what the tube material is made from. The issue isn't with a tank, the issue is with a carto's ability to wick thick juices. The poly filler in cartos will quickly act more like a filter and clog with thick juices, making for a very stiff draw while vaping.

If you have a cartomizer that is currently able to use thick e-liquid, you should have no issues putting them in a tank, glass or polypropylene.

If you vape to use only thick juices, I suggest eliminating all juice delivery devices that use either a poly filler material (cartos) or string wicks (clearo's or Vivi Nova's) and going with a dripping atomizer (no wicks to clog) or a bottom feed mod like a Reo or VMod.

Thank you that is all good info and advice. I am a newbie, two weeks today, and I have been filling myself with as much info as possible. I will look into the other devices. I didn't mention but the other reason I wanted a glass tank ... is I don't feel comfortable with the safety of polycarbonate tanks... so I actually wanted to kill two birds with one stone... so to speak without bringing up that topic. I wanted to be able to used thick VG and no polycarbonate tanks. My biggest dilemma is getting enough juice to even steep it. I am finding I am spending more on ecig stuff than what I spent on my weekly carton of analogs...

If you are going to stick with tanks, I do recommend those made of pyrex. Pyrex is an inert material, which means it will be "neutral" or impart no added taste to the juice; some people state that they can taste the plastic from plastic tanks, or the metal in metal tanks or drip tips. Plus, pyrex has a more elegant look to it than the frosted plastic.

If you haven't read my blog articles, please do. Pay particular attention to (#1) Proper Terminology: A Primer on Juice Delivery Devices" and (#6) "Something Safe for Cinnamon and Citrus Flavors". You can access the blog by clicking on the link after Blog Entries below my avatar.
