    Once again I welcome you to today's review of a disposable with a few features that put it above the pack in the disposable market of vapes, because the Icewave 8500 is rechargeable with a internal 600mAh battery, holds 18ml's of juice and has a large digital display screen displaying battery percentage and remaining juice capacity. The Icewave 8500 claims 8,500 vapes can be had from this device that has 16 flavor options to choose from. This is the first device in the disposable market to have a large display screen showing both battery % and remaining juice capacity. Without further delay lets get to know the Icewave 8500 prior to my review of it.

    FIRST IMPRESSIONS

    Packaging is just a box showing a illustration of the Icewave 8500 with the flavor inside the box, I was sent 5 flavors to review, each device is shipped sealed in a plastic cover.

    I like the fact of sealing the device in plastic for 2 reasons, number 1 is a safety protocol insuring no air can touch the device during shipping, this is a auto draw only device . There is also a protective sticker across the USB-C charge port and airflow intake hole that's located on the bottom. A 3rd measure of protection that serves another purpose as well is a silicone plug inserted into the mouthpiece, not only does it prevent any air to enter but also prevents evaporation of juice.

    The first thig I did was to check the strength of the batteries and they were all in the low 90% range so charging was done to insure testing was done on a full battery, it didn't take but a couple of minutes to bring them all to full 100% capacity. I apologize for the display pictures in charging mode but my refresh rate on my camera wouldn't cooperate with the outer tear drop surrounding the juice level indicator in the first picture. The display shows a battery percentage with a flashing lightning bolt when charging along with the colored juice level indicator.

    On the front of the device above the display screen ICEWAVE is boldly branded and on the backside ICEWAVE is again branded on the bottom half with the flavor of the device shown overlaid the colorful design pattern. On one side of the device X8500 is branded.

    For me the Icewave 8500 comes across as a loose MTL vape that is auto draw only, no buttons keep this device very streamlined and easy to operate, just charge and vape. The mouthpiece is plastic and tappers down for a comfortable feel on the lips. Airflow comes in from a small feed hole on the bottom of the device so keep your fingers free of it. During use you will get a build up of condensation in the draw tube but it dose not effect the vape quality which is great by the way.

    The Icewave 8500 is the FIRST disposable device to implement a large colorful display screen that shows not only the battery strength but also the remaining juice level left inside the device. The battery strength is displayed in percentage % form and the juice level indicator uses a color bar to display quantity as juice is consumed. Being only 70 grams it's also very lightweight as well.

    FLAVOR PROFILES

    * BLACKBERRY ICE

    This is my favorite flavor from the 5 that were sent to me, the Blackberry comes through strong but not so strong that it crosses your eyes, for me the strength of flavor is just right tasting like a somewhat candied Blackberry with a nice cooling effect. I normally shy away from menthol included devices but I really like that it was in this flavor ( LOVE IT )!!!

    * FRESH MINT

    This was my 2nd favorite of the flavors sent, as the name implies it's a mint with a cooling of menthol as well. This flavor had a little bit more punch to it but not enough to be overwhelming.

    * VANILLA TOBACCO

    As I have said on past reviews of disposable device I wish someone would put out some flavors without including a cooling agent and this is the first flavor that I've come across to be free of a cooling effect and that's one reason it's my 3rd favorite of the group. On the inhale the first to come through is the taste of vanilla followed by a light tobacco free of menthol. :thumb:

    * STRAWBERRY BANANA

    This is a nice combo of the 2 fruits mentioned in it's name with the Strawberry coming through first followed by the Banana and a small amount of cooling even though it's not mentioned in the flavor profile. The flavors come through nicely not being overpowering and the cooling is light enough for me to enjoy it.

    * STRAWBERRY KIWI

    This flavor also follows suite as the above flavors being just right with flavors, the Strawberry comes through first then the Kiwi blends in to make a nice meld of the 2 flavors.

    All of these flavors meet my approval and I would recommend them to you with the first 3
    being my personal favorite out of the 5 that were sent to me for review, I'm glad someone
    finally listened to me and other reviewers and developed flavors that are free of cooling.

    FINAL IMPRESSIONS

    I really enjoyed the Icewave 8500 for the flavors as I mentioned in the descriptions above but the device is also done very well. Being a first to use a large colorful display screen on a disposable device I expected to see some flaws but I could not find a single con on it except the location of the air feed hole and that's not really a con.

    Having very good flavor that does not cross your eyes on inhale but rather gives you a smile rates it as a winner in my book and for me it is just that, being rechargeable with a whopping 18ml juice capacity and a great auto draw rounds out my reasons why I consider it a winner and I do recommend it 100%.

    I would like to thank Hillary and Zovoo as well as Icewave for sending the Icewave 8500 device to me for review. I would also like to thank you folks that are readers of my reviews.

    THANK YOU

    Good review Bob. I wonder what the cost is on these with the added display. It seems like disposables are becoming more and more like regular pod mods.
    I couldn't tell you on the cost but the display isn't cheaply made and is durable as I just tested out a couple minutes ago dropping one of them from about 4 feet onto a hardwood floor, works just fine!
