Iclear 16 heads

I use my iclears once and then most of them fray a little on the bottoms of wicks after just one use!! Are they still okay to use? What causes the random dry hits? How many times do u guys usually use yours?

The wicks fraying is perfectly normal and nothing to be worried about.

The random dry hits could be you sucking air in too hard (I always felt the 16's were way too hard to hit...) which can make the wicks not keep up with the amount of vapor you're trying to pull from them. Lots of people love these, but I gave all 5 of mine away. I'm stuck on the kanger mini protank 2 for my smaller mods now; still can't take huge puffs from them, but they're 10 times better than the 16's in that regard IMO.

i have had no problems with dry hits. i do use a 70/30 pg/vg mix however. i don't know how they would handle high vg juices. try to keep the tank at least half full, and tilt them often to keep the top part of the wicks saturated. in my experience, they have performed better than the kanger stock coils, but not as well as the kanger coils when i rebuild.

i usually wash them after four or five tanks, air dry and dry burn before next use. the coils last me a long time ( a month or so, before i change coils ). i vape at 8.5 watts btw, with longish drags every 15 seconds or so, the way i used to smoke a cigarette.
