1.06 isn't much. I know they told me my cartridges were equivalent to a pack of smokes but I went through 2/day at 18mg and they probably held more than 1.06ml. I really don't know the answer but I found this on an Ejuice review site: The average experienced vaper considers 1ml of eJuice to equal approximately 7 cigarettes.

When it comes right down to it, why does it really matter? Just get off of the smokes for Christ's sake.

Bottom line is you'll save money vaping, and you can't put a price on your health.

Just vape as much as you feel you need. Your body will tell you if you're vaping too much (same symptoms as too much caffeine).

MG of nicotine per mL = this many cigarettes per day... just does not work at all.
you get on average from a "analog" cigarette .6-1.2 MG of nicotine. that cigarette "tobacco" is laced with a lot of other chemicals that potentate the effects of nicotine, to give you more of a buzz.. some of these chemicals are naturally occurring in the tobacco leaf and other are added by big tobacco to keep you hooked.
when you vape you are only getting nicotine and much of that nicotine that is in the liquid is destroyed in the vaporization process.
best estimated guess is something like 50% is lost in the vaporization process. so if your vaping 24 MG per mL its more like 12 MG per mL is exiting the mouth piece and even then some of that will not be absorbed into your body...
so these 2 factors are why the mg/ml = any amount of cigarettes is just wrong.
when i made the switch to vaping i was smoking half a pack a day. i got 18 mg e-liquid and i would use about 3 ML per day. so 18 x 3 = 54 mg per day. that might sound like a lot considering i was only getting about 10 mg per day from my cigarettes. but we did not factor in the nicotine potentiators in the cigarette and the fact that about half of the nicotine in the liquid is not expelled in the vapor.

Could not have said it better than myself.

Welcome aboard Joe. I have a couple of those iClear 16 clearomizers, and I find those bad-boys suck up a lot of juice. I prefer single, bottom coil tanks like an EVOD or Mini ProTank 2. Based on others' comments, you're probably not taking in much (if any) more nicotine than when smoking.

I'm lucky in that I vape in my office (at least no one's told me that I can't - better to ask forgiveness than permission? ;)) I vape all evening when I'm home. I do use lower-nic juice (probably around 6, as I mix a little unflavored 36nic into my 0 nic flavors - my S.O. vapes occasionally, but only at 0, so to share flavors, I get all 0 and add my own....) I haven't really measured, but I'm guessing I go through at least 5mL/day, and I DON'T CARE. I'm NOT smoking cigarettes anymore (4 months yesterday) - I don't smell like a filthy ashtray, I'm not dropping ashes in my car (it doesn't smell filthy anymore), I'm not hacking up a lung each morning when I awaken.....

Your body will tell you if you're taking in too much nic (happened to me a few weeks ago - I'd added too much to one of my 0 nic tanks and was sitting outside on a relatively warm day - serious head-buzz, dizzy, nauseous. Just set my VV3 down for a bit and let it pass. Took it easy on the rest of the tank, i.e. vaped less, until it was finished. Turned around and filled up another :)

My long-winded rambling short(er) - Vape as much or as little as you'd like. That is all.

I'd say 18Mg strength is a whole lot closer to smoking "light" cigarettes than full flavor ones. Not that it's bad to start that way, and new vapers tend to hit it a lot more at first than they will in a month or so anyway, but it's worth mentioning. In my experience, most of the full flavored smokers I helped with the switch, and all the unfiltered smokers, needed to start at 24 or even 30mg strength to not feel like they had to have it glued to their mouths.

Thanks for the info all. I stopped Monday the 7th and am glad I have stopped smokin !. I do feel like I Vape alot, but less during the day then I smoked since I only do it on breaks.
I may have to change from the iClean 16, and I guess I know when i've had too much as I get sweating and fell abit dizzy. Do you recommend a change to a single, bottom coil tanks like an EVOD or Mini ProTank 2. or should i use this one for awhile. I dont get much vapor from this, but honestly DO NOT want "a smoke" yet. any help to stay away from them is appreciated. should i kick uo to 24 if I used to smoke full flavor 100s. Joe

Yeah, there's no good "conversion" formula for it. But as I understand it all, as a smoker, you became used to some amount of nicotine circulating in your bloodstream. Call that "X" as I got no idea here what level is what for who. But what you're doing--however you get your nicotine--is maintain that level, whatever yours is. And you're going to do it without "thinking" too much about it. Like when you smoked, you just felt "I need a smoke" when that level fell too low (that "nicotine fit" thing).

Since vaping is different (such as you absorb the nicotine mostly in the mouth and nasal passages which is slower than in the lungs), your habits will shift around to try to hit your personal "sweet spot". Which often leads new folk to "chain vape" at first as their habits are trying to adjust to a new way of getting their nicotine. I wouldn't worry too much about it. And definitely don't worry so much about "numbers". The more important questions have to do with whether the vaping satisfies the cravings for nicotine. If not, maybe you need to move up a bit on nicotine level (but don't make big jumps, bump it up a bit and try that a while). Or maybe you find yourself feeling "jittery" or having trouble getting to sleep (I did) or, worse, headachy or nauseous. Then you should cut your nicotine level (and a decent cut... you can always bump it back up a little). Lowering the nic may lead to "chain vaping" a while but big whoop. Better to chain vape than smoke!

In my experience and what I read from others around the ECF, it levels off over time. My "habits" as a vaper are predictable as sunrise now. Took some experimenting and tweaking but leveled off into a predictable routine after a while.

But there's just no easy formula for X vape equals Y smoking. Too many variables and too many differences between individuals. You have to find what works for you.

In my opinion, if you get strong reactions like dizziness, it's better to go lower nic and vape more if you need. Too much nic is unpleasant and not terribly good for you. But "too much vaping" is, I think, a silly, meaningless idea. There is no "too much vaping", only "too much smoking" (which is "more than zero").

I'm using, and liking, iClear 30s tanks these days but back when I was using an eGo, liked EVODs a great deal. Try one, see what you think. They're nice I think.

I can't believe so many of you can vape such high mg strengths. I smoked a pack a day, true, but ultra-lights, which I had smoked for over 20 yrs; before that it was 10 yrs of lights, and before that, a few years of menthols and winstons --but when I tried 18mg, in an eRoll, after less than one hour of filling that tiny .4ml tank, my stomach felt like knives were going in and out, and I was so nauseous I had to put a cool cloth on my head. So I tried 12mg, and although it took 3 hrs instead of less than 1, it gave me the same effects. So I finally got 6mg, and suddenly I could vape all I liked, and never get sick. I've since determined that I can start the day at 10 or 10.5 mg, go to 9mg after an hour, and then to 6mg after dinner.
