hello,
I have the protank 2 and once I finally got it to stop leaking it just tastes like crap all the time (maybe my thicker juice) but iv done enough troubleshooting on that to care right now just mentioned it.. my iclear 30s has been great no leaking or anything but other then washing off or soaking in a little alcohol it seems hard to clean coils. I took one old coil apart (the rubber part on top) and the flavor wick came out then I dry burned but it seemed to not help change the gunk that was built up, maybe I need to dry burn longer or more cycles of pulsing. but the flavor wick is almost impossible to get back in (I tried for a while but was unsuccesful). im wondering if this thing (the flavor wick attached to rubber topper) really even matters much as the flavor from this thing is great but my big issue is that my 2.0 ohm rated coils are up to 2.5-2.6 after a week or so at least so this seems to be a bit of an issue. I let it soak in alcohol and still the same, though it was a little cleaner. im wondering if anybody here has a really solid cleaning or dry burn method for iclear30s I could try that would maybe even bring my ohm rating back to where it should be. I may go back to playing with my protank now that its not leaking to my battery after a while (just a little condensation which iclear still doesn't even do) but I like this iclear30s a lot better for flavor and reliability and just want a solid way to keep these coils lasting even longer and vaping at their full potential as when I first put a new coil in it vapes like a dream and now it just takes a bit longer for puffs and what not even after I wash out (not bad but I want it cleaned out right!), any help or tips are much appreciated.. thanks!!!

I can't help you on the Iclear for I don't own one. Regarding the PT2- try a simple rebuild using the stock coil and cotton- it's real easy and preforms great. Clean and dry burn the stock head. Using tweezers, carefully pull the favor off the coil and then pull the main wick from inside the coil. If you pull a few small threads of the wick at a time it should not disrupt the coil. Dry burn the coil again and blow clean. Grab a bit of sterile/organic cotton (q-tips work in a pinch) Roll one end of the small piece of cotton and thread thru the coil. Be careful- do not use too large a piece of cotton and break the coil. The cotton should slide thru the coil fairly easily. Trim up the matted rolled end - cut the other end to length and fluff the ends. I still use a flavor wick (cotton) on top as well. (many folks do not) Just don't use so much cotton that you block the air passage. Prime the wick and put the cap back on. Do Not dry burn any cotton wick ! Just replace the cotton. Good luck-and it only tasks a few minutes

awesome thanks for the response man, the pt2 has been ok better then the other two bottom coil smok brand ones I had (one came in a kit and one I bought the pryex bigger version for 11 bucks, worked at first but just became a leaky disaster) , just always a burnt taste now that I put a fatter oring (ones that came w/ it) on my bottom coil atty at least no leaking. but I have looked a small bit into rebuilding and that seems like a really good thing to do. I might try it this weekend when I have some time. your right I do have 4 more coils for the iclear lol but just want them clean the thing that really bothered me is the 2.5 ohm reading. Do you know if the smok tech bottom coils will work in the pt2 ? I got them when I started with an ego battery, 1300 (overall good product for 40 bucks, not sure what resistance the coils are though, got them at local shop.. prob 1.8ohm for those eh?) but it kept dying at night on me and I wanted to skip all the upgrades and just get what I was told and read was the best/most durable + American made great customer service. so I got a provari at local shop and love it. I know there is the argument that you can get a device that is almost as good for maybe 80-120 but most are internal batteries and I have 3 2000 mah batteries now so I can just switch them out, just really like the design. hope it last years to come for me though that is the real test. each person is diff though so I imagine preference is big part. I mean it was only the price of a little over 3 cartons of cigs (180ish) and I got the pt2 with it as a bonus to play w/. which it seems being rebuildable is something that a person like me will really get into once I get deeper into this as I really enjoy vaping and don't have to go outside on break at work just walk around the skywalks, and if they try to say I cant ill fight it till the end because a girl spraying perfume is putting more toxins into the air then my vapor, but that's a another whole issue :).

thanks for the quick replies guys this is a good community

also if anybody orders juice online from a solid and trustworthy American vender I would love some recommendations. thanks again gents!
