Been lurking for a few weeks now after starting vaping just after the new year and decided today to jump in, so "Hello" to everyone :)

I've already gotten an MVP v2 and a VV3 along with an iClear30b and an Aerotank and was wondering if anyone else has noticed that the iClear is just an inconsistent beast. When it is working well, it is smooth as can be with tons of vape and I love it. Seems that if it so much as tips over, or even just after a few hours, all of a sudden it will start wheezing and I will get almost no draw at all. I tried changing carts and that helped for a little while, but then it went right back to feeling like there was an extra hole somewhere.

I did find a bit of a workaround where I take off the base and remove the cart, then wipe everything completely clean including base of the internal tube and it will work well again for a few hours. I'm not running anything especially thick, just Halo Tribeca (PG/VG isn't listed), but am having this issue consistently.

My question is whether anyone else has seen this issue and, hopefully, there is a better solution than disassembling my tank 3-4 times a day. It's already lead to me only using the Aerotank or my original iClear16 tanks whenever I leave the house, but I prefer the vapor production on this one for my all-day.

Thanks a lot for any insight you guys can share.

Im not quite sure what your question really is, But if your getting "gunked up" it might just be the juice i never use Halo, it seems a bit over priced when you can find the same sizes for about half the price and almost the same or better flavors. But if it is getting junked up its just Vapor life gotta keep your atomizers clean, i clean mine after every time it empties just to keep from having to buy a new one. makes them last much longer and really isn't to bad.

Sorry I wasn't more clear, nothing is getting gunked up, but rather it seems that the seals aren't tight enough. It has a pretty tight draw and great vapor right when I assemble, then it gets more airy and stops working well at all. Cleaning connections from the base to cart, and cart to stem can fix it, but only temporarily. The biggest annoyance is that it can be brought on immediately by tipping or jostling really.

Might just be an issue with the tank itself, but wanted to ask around.

Not to Hi-Jack the thread. I am also interested in this as I just received mine on Monday and at first it was great. It was producing loads of smoke, great flavor but after a couple hours of casual vaping it was tasting slightly burnt. The burnt taste comes and goes with no warning. I have been keeping the tank more than half filled, wicks wet and it still comes and goes. I have a 50/50 mix of straight tobacco liquid, running on a Cool Fire 2 at 9.5 watts with the 1.5ohm coils. I am using the same liquid in a Pro Tank 1 and a DC cart at the same settings with no issues. I like the tank but will have to discontinue using if this keeps up. Thanks

@easkone Thanks for the tip on 1/3 full. Now that you mention it I don't think it has really happened when it is closer to 1/2 so I'll try to keep it there.

@rotting_hell I haven't had any issues with burning, though I have been vaping it closer to 7-8w since I prefer a cooler smoke (minimal TH is just fine with me).

Kept messing with it last night after posting and it has stayed consistent so I think this might be a case of tightening it that last 1/8 turn to seal it all up, or of a problem that goes away the second you really look at it. Thanks again to everyone for your comment and suggestions.

I have one of those I got with the Cool Fire 1. Used it for a couple days and went back to the 30s. Never have any problems with them, try one out I think you will like it much better. Even works pretty good on my mechanical. ***Sorry didn't read all the posts... The S is a top coil, so if you prefer cooler vapor, you are probably better with the b. The X1 tank is a good bottom coil from Innokin MUCH more airy than the 30 b though. It is made of Pyrex, and has really good flavor. image.jpg

I've tried a couple of iClear30b's and noticed the same thing, never owned them though just been passed them by friends that have asked me to take a look. They are a bit dodgy, i don't think Innokin quite has the same flare for BC/BDC stuff that Kanger has. My advice would be switch to an iClear30 or a 30s, Those are spot on practically every single time with the exception of a dud coil every blue moon or so :)

Still using my 30b but I am transitioning off to aerotanks since I can rebuild the coils. Got my second one today and just having the ability to adjust for thicker juices makes all the difference. Will probably still use my 30b from time to time, but it is gonna be out of daily rotation in the foreseeable future I'm afraid.
