On a forum's main page (General E-Smoking Discussion for example) the little green icon with the white check mark in it says I'm subscribed to a thread when I've unsubscribed from it.
Don't know if this makes any difference or not, but I used the "Forum Tools" "Unsubscribe from this Thread" link to unsubscribe.
