Was thinking about either a rubber coating or some type of rubberized protective piece to protect the Mini. I have dropped it a few times and while it still works fine, I have put a couple of unwanted scratches on it. So it just struck me as a possible idea that might look cool and still be functional.

Any of you modders with much more creative minds than me have any ideas? Or am I just being stupid?

When I first started thinking about ordering a GLV, I was thinking about wrapping it with some suede. (Cut a width to just fit, pop some eyelets in it, lace it up.) I've (mostly) grown past that now, but the thought is still in the back of my head. I may still end up making one anyway. That way, when I go to the hippy-fests, I can slap it on and lace it up. It would make a great protective covering too.

EDIT: Just found this. I may continue with my original plan. :)

You could get some clear tubing. Heat it up and slip it on.
It seems anything with adhesive might eventually come off with the heat from you hand but may cut up some pieces of those non-slips things that go in bathtubs, steps, etc.
Take a piece of tanned deer hide scrap and wrap it. It doesn't take much to be able to keep your grip better. They come in all different colors but some of the dyes do come off so I would choose natural.
