I tried tried it and WOW.:ohmy::ohmy:

Tons of vapor from a menthol I never got vapor from, and the flavor is far greater. I was going to get some 901 attys, but this is far more cost-effective if I get 5 "attys" for the price of a normal one. yes, dripping will be slightly annoying, but its worth it. the benefits of a cart but better everything :D

EDIT: just realized I used the last of my only juice until DIYFS gets my order shipped next week. >_____< at least I don't have to buy attys now though. :]

I tried doing it when it got funky, but at that point the stuffing had adhered to the wick, so pulling it out cleanly was impossible. That, and the entire bottom half was soaked in unusable juice, so I'm doing this for the carts from now on. saves me tons of money and the turbo carts last a really long time, let alone without the stuffing getting burned.

hmm....there is always the old standby of pulling off what you can, then dryburning off the rest. I'm probably gonna order some cartys next time i order atomizers, just to test a few things. When the filler dies, they're goin drip. (until I find and modify some stainless steel mesh to be the new filler... ;))

Wait! Wait!!!! I just had a light bulb moment! 901 user here, who has never even tried a cartomizer....are you telling me that for less than half the price of an atomizer I could just pull the filling out of an 808 cartomizer and direct drip???? I could have saved soooo much. So, can I still use my whistle tip?

dunno about whistle-tip (it might fit, might not) but for the price of a 901, you can 5 makeshift ones from Vapor Nine (best carts I've found so far) :]
