This should do the trick.

It's a vibratory tumbler for cleaning used brass. I took the bowl off and drilled out holes in a 2x4 which I mounted to the vibrating base.

First I put the bottles in a warm bath until they got nice and toasty and the juice got thin. Wiped them off and put them in the shaker.

Could be my imagination, but I think I am watching them get darker by the minute.

The hair band around the bottles keeps tension on them to keep them from rattling out of the holes even though they are a tight fit.

I think if I tried that here I'd just wind up with a seat full of melted black plastic soup!

Just put the bottles in your car's glove compartment. No exposure to light and the heat is more than enough. Doesnt melt the bottles. If the day is really hot like 100F+, I suggest a little bit of window opening.

I've been considering building something similar but more compact. Like a miniature paint shaker, but based on a rotational motor with an off-axis ring to shake the snot out of thicker juices (and acrylic miniature paints).

Why not leave the bowl on it and just throw the bottles in the shaker bowl? If it's a sealed bowl, you could probably add hot water to it and vibrate while warm.

Mostly because the bowl is full of abrasive and I wanted to be able to switch attachments rather than deal with draining and refilling the bowl to switch.

Iirc, residue from brass polishing is relatively toxic, especially if you load non-jacketed rounds. I wouldn't use the same bowl, either.

I just finished the "car" treatment on about 50ml of juice. It was 111f here yesterday, which would put the inside more around 140+. After that and around 20 hrs sitting on top of a 26" fan, very good results. I would say somewhere like 1-2 weeks of steep time equivalent.
