what would have to be gone to keep me from vaping?? the equipment, the juice ( nic)??

if it was the equipment, I would start "Licking"... a drop of juice on the finger and lick it up..
if it was the supply of nic, Ive got that covered.... got enuf 100nic base to last me 10-15 yrs at 18 mg/ml
I was reviewing to see if anyone beat me to it.

I too am stocked up because I know myself well. Husband settled into bed the other night smelling like stale smoke. I noticed it, but I didn't *hate* it. I've never gotten to the point that cigarettes aren't appealing in some ways, but I do notice that lessens the longer I vape. That said, when I fell of the wagon at a concert early on, I ended up smoking a BUNCH. The first one was awful, but by cig like, 10? They tasted great and all that. I paid for it the next morning. So, if I can sublingual nicotine juice, I'd do that. Since I have so much. I'm sure I can hide my mods....

But, say we woke up on deeming day and ALL e-cig products were just gone? Like that show The Leftovers, only it would have to be the Stolen Vapers, I am quite sure that I would pick up a cigarette almost immediately. I can't afford the patch or the gum, and I like neither very much. I guess I could try lozenges, but if I woke to the inability to vape, I probably WOULD be so stressed, that I'd smoke immediately. Sigh.

I would almost certainly smoke again. I'm *pretty* sure I could go no-nic vaping, but no-vaping, no-cigs is probably not ever in the cards. The thing that always brought me back to cigarettes all those many, many times I quit before I tried vaping was the physical action, the hand to mouth and puffing, which is much more addictive to me long-term than the chemicals in cigarettes (which ARE VERY VERY ADDICTIVE), or the nicotine in vaping.

I mean why would I quit smoking for months and months, have all the toxins completely out of me, and start again? Over and over? I always felt handicapped, like I couldn't think or concentrate (and that's my main get-paid-money-for-it skill!), but I believe it was more about the physical action. I would probably have some unpleasantness giving up nicotine entirely, but I only use 3mg now, so I think it would be do-able. On the other hand, maybe the 3mg or 2mg, or even 1 is my lower limit. Maybe no-nic would lead to smoking again. Not really feeling like it testing it ATM, and no need to, since I'm well stocked.

And so, the freezer is loaded with argon gas and some strange chemical with a skull and crossbones on it.

If you outlaw vapes, then only outlaws will vape. The only weak point point in the supply line would be nicotine. You can make everything else DIY style.

You can't really stop people from vaping. The technology is too simple. It would be like the Prohibition Era here in the US. On an odd tangent; I have been eyeballing flashlights that take 18650's. I have seen them online for $50-$100 USD and they look cool. A fun toy that I could use around the house and at work. I had kind of settled on what I was looking for and I was narrowing down specific models to get the best bang for my buck, and then recently I just stumbled across one at the local drug store for $15 that would work for me. I do have to be careful with it because using an 18650 provides so much power that the LED and lens heat up quite a bit. But it has an insert that allows me to use three AAA's instead. And...throw an 18650 in there and I can just about create a patch of daylight on the ground in front of me. A mod is just a flashlight that produces heat instead of light. Go ahead. Try to make that go away.

I appreciate all the replies and although this is a miniscule percentage of all vapors, I really thought more would say no...I don't know alot of other vapors personally , except my wife and you all, but my wife is worse then me about not going back, so I really thought that after years of vaping a switch kind of goes off and that's it, never going back...again I know it's a small percentage, but I thought if let's say 70 percent said "no way", it would beneficial imformation to those new vapors who come off cigs and make an instant plan to quit vaping. One could then say " don't worry about a plan now, because a high percentage will hate smokes in 3 years, so maybe then worry about about the plan , this way you know, or have a better chance that you won't go back to smoking.." but , like it mostly is, everyone is different, so what works for some, doesn't work for others....

I know people who went smoker->vaper->done. I don't know anyone who did that who smoked for a very long time though.

You have to remember, this coming from my counseling on other addictions, with "Nicotine/Tobacco" addiction, most of your long term smokers (10+ years or more) majority have very addictive personalities, and get into habits very, very quickly. It is a mental disorder, thus a very mental addiction for these smokers, myself one of them (used to be), but easily managed, especially with vaping even if they are vaping 0mg nic till the end of time, its that habit of hand to mouth and keeping the hands occupied that are the biggest habitual rituals to break with smoking addiction. Stepping back to smoking if forced to by the FDA, some global electromagnetic event, etc, blah would be a serious let down for me personally.

There are times of the day, if I am very busy and occupied, I can go for hours, almost half the day without thinking about vaping or getting a nic fix compared to when I did smoke I couldn't go more than 3hours before I'd want to rip someones head off, especially when very engrossed in a very good game or movie, if my mind is occupied then I could see quitting entirely, but, there are idle times during the day.

Some people say its will power, those that outright quit cold turkey and have stayed that way, good on them, but majority of people will power alone is not enough, there still needs to be some type of crutch to quit an addiction, wether counseling, mentoring, group sessions, one key one a good family and close relations support base can work short term or long term, the individual is still the deciding factor, and it all relates to DNA and body chemistry at that point.

I know myself well enough to know that if there was no way to vape I would re-learn how to smoke and I would get used to the taste again.
This would be me to. Which is why I have my stash of Nic, wire. cotton and 3 Reo's And more BF Attys than I want to count.

Didn't think about this, and kind of feel bad that some mentioned it in their posts...

And then I've known people that quit cold turkey successfully....... for ten years They've gone back to smoking. True story. He was soooo rabid about telling me to just quit. So anti smoking. ...... me the :censored: off. You know that feeling when people push and you just smoke more. Uh huh.

THAT is what I fear. Sure I might be able to give up vaping. What happens years from now? If my vapes disappeared right now I might make it without smoking. For how long though?
