I've always thought about how he goes about breaking in the wick in that video and I'm not sure how much of a difference it makes. I think it's a good idea to run it pretty dry in small button fires for the initial break in. The only issue I see is that the first time the wick sees heat it's not very wet, even if it's a quick fire.

I wick my builds in a very similar manner. I'm not as ballsy with my initial fire ups though lol. I drip on some juice, pulse, drip, pulse, drip, and by this point the coils are heated. Saturate up and your done! Since heat draws in liquid, I always fire up my mod a couple times before dripping if I haven't vaped in a while. Doing this prevents leaking!
