Oh my goodness! I cannot stop cleaning! You know the story, "If you give a mouse a cookie..." He'll surely want a glass of milk to go with it. If you give him some milk, he'll need a straw, a mirror to avoid a mustache, scissors to cut the hair he seen in the mirror, a broom to sweep it up, a nap, a story, draw a picture, hang it on the refrigerator, which makes him thirty for a glass of milk, then he needs another cookie to go with it.
A circular story; this is my life! I have been cigarette free for one week now. I chose to stop smoking for health reasons. After a few days of not smoking, I could smell it on other people!! Gross!!! And then, the unfortunate happened this morning... My circular story began. I needed to fill up my wiper fluid reservoir. Opened my hood and realized how dusty my engine was. I take it to the car wash to rinse it off. Why not rinse off my floor mats? Ewwie! Ashes all over my back seat/floor board! So, I vacuum it out when I got home. I noticed foot prints on my door, so I wiped them off. Then I realized the soot all over my interior!!
I spent a total of 8 hours detailing my car! Let me tell you, it was worth it! It doesn't smell like an ashtray full of stale cig butts anymore! (I found some odor neutralizer at autozone that smells like strawberry candy!!) There is no marks from ashing on my window and door frame. There is no film on my windshield and rear view mirror. There aren't 7 lighters hiding under my seats. The back glass isn't covered with ashes and dust. THIS IS THE BEST FEELING IN THE WORLD!
Any one else becoming a clean freak now that you're a non-smoker?

ETA: I have not turned into a clean freak, but I have scoured my house for all kinds of little boxes and jars I can put vaping stuff in.

I had just bought my new car a few weeks before Vapeing, so it was clean. But I started with all my ashtrays, then the drapes onto the walls which led to cupboards then floors, still going not sure when to stop lol.

I still have yet to give my truck a good cleaning... reason being, when I get in it reminds me of how bad I smelled like when I smoked. I think once we get a decent Spring day I will break down and give it a once over.

It's been nice here in Missouri for the last week or so, a thunderstorm here and there. We did start Spring off with snow though!

i do love the fact that my clothes don't smell anymore and i don't have to sneak out of the house at 2 am to smoke...and my 2 year old doesn't have to smell my cig smelling clothes or breath anymore

I definitely feel more energetic, and therefore motivated to do stuff, including being cleaner.

If you vape high VG liquid, be prepared to keep doing the window glass in your car. But at least its not a stinky soot.

You can tell when someone smokes. I love not having that smell from the stinkys in my hair and cloths!

Oh, wow, I hope I hit that phase someday! My house could use a little OCD-type spring cleaning

Yes, but since my wife did not smoke, I always kept the smoking area pretty contained. When I stopped smoking it did not take too long to clean up. Also had to run all the clothes through the wash a couple times.

Yep, been there. My poor washer is almost worn out. Curtins, rugs, all the clothes in the closet & drawers. Whew! Makes me tired just thinking about it!
