-You prefer prebuilt coils that last a good while
-You prefer smaller/medium sized boxmods
-Budget is up to $150 (possibly higher)
-USB charging ability
-Medium wattage range, dont need huge clouds, just high quality vaping
-No need for fancy bells and whistles (unless it's important to whats stated above)

Based off these needs what kind of Box, tank and battery would you get?

Thanks!

If you vape at 60 watts and below i would recommend istick Pico hands down.

Tge Pico can fire up to 75 watts but you may need to carry spare battery

With a $150 budget and some smart shopping you could probably get 3 setups and a couple could be 200 Watt MOD's. Pico Kit, an Alien Kit and an RX200S with some money left over to buy a MTL Tank like a Nautilus Mini or X.

Just my opinion and not based on price checking...................

Alien comes in at a good price point. Takes 2 batteries and reportedly does balanced charging (however, I almost always go the external charger route unless a built in battery or something like a DNA board made for in mod charging), comes with a Baby Beast which folks seem to really like. I have the mod itself, without the tank, and am quite happy with it.

A step up is a G Priv. Same power as the Alien, also 2 batteries, but has a touch screen if you like that sort of stuff, but that is just bells and whistles. Comes with a Big Baby Beast, which uses the same coils as the BB, but the tank holds ~4-5 ml. Both will come in under $100.

Something more maybe a Minikin 2, also a touch screen, then add a tank. For a step up, and for excellent temp control performance if you ever get into it would be a DNA based mod. You can get a 166/250 2 or 3 battery mod anywhere from ~$120-$150. Then add a tank. If you want factory coils, maybe the Baby Beasts mentioned above, a Freemax Starre Pure which uses ceramic coils that last a long time and can be cleaned up, or something simple and inexpensive like a Tobeco Super tank which uses Atlantis compatible coils, meaning lots of choices in the market. It's also very reasonably priced. That would be a bit more up front (a quality battery can be had for ~$5 each from a reputable vendor, not eBay or Amazon) but I would feel confident charging in a DNA based mod, so you would save the ~$20 for a decent external charger.

The new Smok AL85 Kit would fit that criteria nicely.

Baby Beast is a great tank and the AL85 itself is basically a mini Alien mod.

Battery, well you can't go wrong with either a Samsung 30Q or LG HG2. Just stick with the "Big 3" Sony, Samsung or LG and you can't go wrong. Only advice would be careful where you buy from as fakes are common.

I'd go with the Alien. I, myself, charge it via USB, but I am getting some spare batts and a charger soon. All you gotta do is rotate the batteries every so often. I do it at least once a week. I only vape at 62.5 watts and get a nice flavorful cloud. I know that isn't a requirement but it isn't the biggest cloud out there. It is a great little setup BUT do keep in mind people have had paint issues with it. Apparently the paint is really crappy on it, though you can just get a sleeve or a mod wrap for it and do away with the paint problems. My paint is almost perfect on mine, except where i accidentally dropped it.

Istick Pico $21 @ Rocky Mountain Vapor with code: turkey

Ego One Mega V2 or Tron-S tanks $15ish (4ml). Get the CLR coils .5 or 1.0 ohm. These coils are rebuildable/rewickable but you don't have to if you don't wanna as they are priced nearly the same as the disposables for these tanks and vape much better.

Thanks for the replies, im a consensus type of decider so im leaning towards the alien kit

and that's a huge price difference from the alien kit

does the alien kit have a specific benefits warranting the alien kit.. listed at 118$ on the smok site (although i see it cheaper on other websites, perhaps they are older models?)

currently vaping on a 2 year old sigelli box with a kangertech tank for comparison

also do any sites offer expedited shipping?

You left out the most important criteria of all, mouth to lung or direct to lung style?

mainly i mena in the alien vs the istick pico difference

yeah but the sigelei works fine, a little outdated big and bulky in style for sure
I would suggest the Pico to beginners/less the insipid atty.
The Alien is more suited to the experienced vapor/ the cloud beast series atomizers are steller,,off course this is my opinion only..

For me, the Alien kit is a great vape. Only complaints I've heard about and seen are for the poor paint. I've had mine for about 5 months and it is holding up nicely, so assume that has been fixed. If you decide to get the kit and like it, consider adding the Big Baby (same vape in a bigger tank) so you can easily switch flavors. All that, a couple pair of married batteries, and a charger will stay at or under your $150 budget.
