Got my IGO-L a few days ago. I got 2.5mm Silica and 30awg Kanthal. My first coil was 4 wraps and I connected it to my evic; which said it was about .6 ohms? It was pretty low. I don't mind having a low ohm atty at all, but my evic does.
Apparently the evic refuses to give power to anything under 1.0 ohms. My brother's evic wouldn't fire on the coil either. So my brother wrapped one, and that one was like 1.3 ohms and we fired it. It was working, got red hot n what-not. So we juiced it up and took some vapes.
Absolute garbage tasting. Played with the coil a bit and couldn't get anything to go. So we trashed the coil and wrapped a new one. that one was 9 wraps! We went super overboard and wrapped 9 tight coils which showed about 1.7 ohms. Juiced it up, absolute trash again.
My brother got his IGO yesterday and he has done a few coils as well, same problem. So far to me this igo is not holding up to it's popularity. By no means are my brother OR I new to vaping. We've both been vaping for ~2 1/2 years and have had many devices, many different atomizer systems (tanks, drip atties, cartos, clearos, you name it) and we just can't get the igo to function properly. Not to mention my brother rebuilds his VapeOnly BCC atomizers with his own wick and wire and has done so for a while now. He's never had a problem building coils in that, so why is the igo posing such a problem?
Anything would be appreciated. If you need more information just ask, I'll be refreshing the page a lot to answer people quickly.
