the way i look at it is if you spend a few hundred bucks on you PV you are probably not worried about a few bucks on mesh and wire.

yeah, i agree.
i don't use ebay because of ordering complications currently, so it's hard for me to find large amounts of kanthal

Let us know because I've been to lowes, Home Depot and dixieline and they didn't have either. There's much stuff at those stores maybe the floor men just didn't know but I searched pretty hard.

Anyone know when the gunmetal ihybrids are gonna be shipped from 310vapers?

Also, I've heard ihys only have .2 voltage loss under load whereas zenesis has .6-- this was from someone who has both and tested them on a multimeter.

Good luck searching lowes or home depot. I have every gauge kanthal from 28 (possibly my favorite) to 34 (for twisted coils but I prefer twisting 33). I've bought from a few different sites but eBay is by far the easiest and most care free. It's sold there by a retailer (temco, the actual manufacturer of the stuff), not some sketchy chump & you use paypal so its as secure an online purchase as you can get.

Also, I wont use anything lower than #500 SS for the wick which I roll solid & tight & it capillary feeds both VG & obviously PG juices like there's no tomorrow, no tipping needed. Never heard of anyone having problems with it, unlike what I've read about 325 & 400 with or without a straw technique.

In my personal opinion, I'm not a fan of bottom button mods so I got an Orion which not only can handle an 18650 but in 18350 stealth/small mode, its one of the smallest hybrids that I'm aware of and also has rave reviews. I think the easiest way to get any of them is to search the ECF classifieds & if its still a pain start a thread in the WTB section & sit back and let the offers come to you. Before you know it you'll be styling!

Oh, also, if you don't already own one, investing in a multimeter is absolutely crucial IMO. EIther that or fire-extinguishers & time devoted to re-wrpping coils, lol. With a multimeter, you'll know before testing whether the coil is worth keeping or re-wrapping & have an idea of whether you're going to overload your batts before you find out the hard way.

Could u possibly elaborate on this. I have an atom bomb which I need to re-wick and I also have a cobra on the way. Seems like it might be good info to know about. Will be using it with a silver bullet or a provari.

How did that work for you? eBay can be sketch but there are several people that are practically on vapers speed dials that sell on ebay with great product and great prices. To be honest wire lasts a good amount of time and is cheap if you look for it. The mesh can be expensive for places like stormy's but it lasts forever. A wick can last two months with minimal upkeep. I got a good deal on some 500 mesh in a co-op but wouldn't feel too bad about dropping $12 on 4 wicks worth of material with that said.

Using the multi meter is a pretty simple process for the RBA's. you don't have to get a very expensive one at all. Just makes sure it reads ohms. Not sure how the atom bomb is configured but with the genisis all you have to do is wrap your coil like normal and set your meter to ohms. Touch your leads together to find the internal resistance of the meter(this is important because you will need to subtract this number from your final reading to get and accurate resistance of your coil). Once you have the internal resistance place one lead to the positive post and one to the negative screw or post. Done.

Many people do not bother with finding the internal resistance and it can be a battery frying issue if you don't. If you have an coil that you thought was 1 ohm and turns out your meter has an internal resistance of .3 ohms then you could be pushin the amp rating of your battery by in fact having a coil that is really .7 ohms.

Not sure if I makes sense or not lol but it did in my head.

Both are great devices! I have both. At times I have trouble deciding which to grab. :D

Gun metal iHybrids are available today and will most likely sell out soon if not already from ihybridmods.com or 310vapers.com. Zens sell out in minutes each time I saw so far...

There's one of each currently on the classifieds if you are a verified member.

Zen is surgical stainless steel. iHybrid is aluminum. Zen comes in standard or mini. iHybrid comes with both tubes.

I'm just about to drop the review for the iHybrid, and recently had a Zenesis in for review as well.

They seem very similar at first glance- in fact, the atomizer assembly is almost identical, down to the fact that they use interchangeable glass tank pieces (a full-size zen tank will fit on an iHy, and vice-versa). But, they function very differently.

I won't give a whole lot away, but I've gone over these both thoroughly, and I will say that performance-wise, the iHy really trumps the Zenesis in every way. There are only a few faults with the iHybrid, and none of them- NONE- are performance-related. In four years, there are no other devices I've tried that come anywhere near as close to vaping perfection.

Yes, the tank protector comes of and you can get a sleeve iHybrid sells to cover the threads. Also Zen standard and iHybrid quartz glass is the same size. What you see on my iHybrid is one of the first 50 made unfinished. I hand polished it up with some Meguires mag and aluminum polish you can get just about anywhere.
