Haha that depends on the liquid used Knives. If you use the right liquid, then cleaning is not necessary.

shop all around for liquids and when I find a "bad burning' liquid' (draw starts to stiffen, vapor production and flavor is dropping even
through the atty is full) people tend to flood in chase of a good hit when this stuff happens. The best way to clean an atty is to use a liquid you Know burns clean.
Just add 3-4 drops at a 90 degree angle of liquid, let sit for a minute, take a pull and add 3 more. Once flavor etc starts dropping off, just add 5 more for each session. Try not to hit it directly after dripping. With the Cannon, you want to do the reverse. Right after a session, add your 4-5 drops, in preparation for the next.
You need an 801 driptip, not 808
