Sh-sh-sh-sh-sh-sh-shiverz...... ooooooooooooo!

Oh DPL, I'm SO glad someone finally understands how we're suffering over here! SIXTY is COLD! :)blush: yeppers, sweatshirt and EAST COAST socklets). (scarf and glovies too, just by the way.)

Thank you kindly for your offer, but I don't need outerwear. Who in their right mind would go OUTSIDE in this weather. Sixty, remember? Brrrrrrrrrrrrr.

However, if you have a surplus of innerwear ... ;)

I'm not sure anything in my drawers would be suitable for ya, but I'll see what I can dig up.

That didn't come out the way I intended it...

It wasn't even 60 inside my house this morning.

Lowest I saw it get today was a mildly brisk -17F. Woke up to a 58 degree house. But I keep the thermostat in the low 60's anyways, so it was barely noticeable. I'm not sick of winter, I'm sick of people in another thread whining about it every 2 or 3 posts. It must be helping to change the weather. It reminds me of backpacking in a group when a sudden shower pops out of nowhere... and the last guy in line has to remind you it's raining every 1/4 mile because the weather at the back of the group is obviously different than the front.

Edit: Post 3000, you lucky devils you. For the occasion, I give you... a squirrel

They have a weather forum. Tell them to go there. http://www.theweatheroutlook.com/twocommunity/default.aspx?g=topics&f=2

LOL KD5...he not only said drawers...he said in his drawers!

Oz, unlike you I do not enjoy the labor intensive snow shoveling! I was dragged up to Ct and then kicked to the curb, so I will snivel all I want  The cold I don't mind and summer is my least favorite season. What I hate is living in little suburbia and having to plow and scrape every flake of snow off of every surface Katie can see. If I had my choice I'd be out in the boonies somewhere with a 4 wheeler and a blade with which to clear a path.

I'll pass on your nuts, but thanks.

And you keep your thermostat at WHAT??? That's what I keep my refrigerator at!

And I only complain about the weather to get my post count up. ;-)

The room I spend most of the time in was insulated and soundproofed from the rest of the house and has no heat. It get's darn cold but I love it. I don't deal with heat well.

I was talking about another thread which could have 3 or 4 pages of posts in the same time that it takes me to type this 1 post. But seriously... it's winter. It snows. It gets colder than it was 6 months ago. I don't care for hot weather, but when the mercury gets above 80, I'm not making a couple dozen posts a day whining that it's hot, or that I have to run my A/C & spend a fortune doing so... it is what it is & whining about it doesn't help anything. If people aren't into watching the seasons change & enjoying them for what they are, there's this place called Arizona...

This thread isn't bad at all about it. But since I don't want to disappoint & I really don't wanna see DP beg, here's a picture of my nuts.

Hmm... sorry... they were there a second ago. Not sure what could've happened there. I'll look into it.

Check your drawers.

And you'll NEVER hear me complain about heat.

I'm allergic to hot weather. If I never have to see 80 again, I'd be all too happy. But I just don't whine about it. It is what it is.

I worked at ski resorts for years before I blew up my ankle, so I've probably shoveled more snow than everyone on that other thread all put together. It's not that big of a deal. Although the preacher man from the local church was driving down my road in a bobcat a few days ago when that last little snowfall passed through & saw me trying to shovel my walk with a shovel in one hand, a cane in the other & a plastic bag over my walking cast. He made a couple passes on my drive for me, which was mighty kind of him. I had no intention of shoveling the drive... I figured the plastic bag would get me to the garage & the tire tracks would be good enough of a path until I can take this stupid cast off.

If you're ever out CT way, Oz, I got a job for you. It's sporadic work, but it pays well and you'd be right in your element(s).

Wow, I re read my post and didn't realize how rude it sounded...my apologies Oz  It was meant as humor, not a lashing. I do enjoy the changing seasons, just not the unusual amounts of snow we have had here this winter.

J5 knows me quite well...I have my bedroom windows open right now. It's still t-shirt weather to me until it gets below 50 degrees. Heat is not my friend either ;)

Speaking of nuts...it's time for dinner!
