The likely outcome of this meeting might be a recommendation that flavors other than tobacco be banned.

While this is a public meeting, many of the speakers are being selected in advance. If there is time left over, speaking will be limited to 2 – 3 minutes. Please be respectful and have your remarks prepared.

A witness slip is required whether you plan to speak or not, please submit a witness slip, here .

If you plan to speak, the witness slip is the only “sign up sheet” available.

Fill out the form with your contact information; under section III, select “Addressing the vaping Crisis” from the drop down menu and click the “Opponent” radio dial; and specify written or oral testimony (Section IV).

In addition to participating in this meeting, Illinois residents who vape and are not “sick from vaping” are being asked to fill out this survey from the IL Dept. of Public Health (IDPH). THIS SURVEY IS FOR ILLINOIS RESIDENTS ONLY! Do not encourage people outside of Illinois to participate by misrepresenting where they live.

One last bump - You don't have to speak, bodies in numbers speaks volumes. Probably the last chance for Illinois.
In 2010 this legislation was shelved after mass attendance and oral and written testimony helped inform and educate the committee on this then still new technology.

I couldn't make it to Springfield for the hearing on that bill - I did leave my written testimony and called the offices of everyone involved and was listened to - I had been vaping for only 6-7 months at the time. I wasn't mad at anyone then - today I'm ...... off.

They did not let individual vapers testify, ended the hearing around 5 pm, just three hours when they gave the simpering kids testimony closer to an hour. Committee chairman Deb Conroy, who paid more attention to her perfectly coifed wig and matching pantsuit than anything we desperately wanted to say, introduced them as "the experts". One of those kids would be lucky to find his assss after getting it kicked every day of his life. I was plenty ...... - asking why can't I speak and rebut after I had submitted a witness slip stating I would offer oral testimony. I was kindly ushered away by fellow vapers asking me to be cool and take the highroad. "Vicki Vasconcellos, president of the Smoke Free Alternatives Coalition of Illinois" Vic was awesome as she always has been from the get go. She owns one of the , and my, first vape shops back in 09 - 25 bucks for 5 4.5 ohm 510 attys, such a deal. She , Tony Aboud (VTA) and the rest of the final anti ban panel testifying tried to be a voices of reason despite the obvious predisposed opinons of this elitist land rover look at my good work and I'm a mom legacy seeking committee of fools. I wanted to go all Tony Montana on their aresses. Public hearing no - propaganda to support agendas - Yeah. I'm more ...... than in all my ten years on the vape. This is war.
Vote em out - Vote them all out, lets wipe the slate clean. Too many use their offices for their own ends. Show them that's not how it's gonna work anymore. If there was a time and reason to suspend the cuss filter it is now.
