It is pretty cool and the day put a smile on my face!

I'm looking forward to getting some pictures of him in his new camo. I'll have to get him to try it all on again when he gets home from school before the hubby gets his hands on it to wash it with scent free detergent and vacuum seals it until they go hunting this weekend.

Well I've got to go to bed. I thought I would hop on for a few mintues and catch up first, but a few minutes turned into over an hour, guess I was away longer then I thought!

I am very sorry to hear that. That is always so hard. Before we had the 4 puppies we have now we had to put two dogs in a row down both at three years old. We got the first and he had an accident at 3 yrs and he had to put down. We got the second and at about 2.5 yrs he had an anurism in his brain. We gave him 6 months but he never recovered. Before those two we put our rotty down at the ripe old age of 13! Maybe that is why we have gotten so many puppies in the last few years (hedging the odds in our favor) I am pleased to say both labs made it past three a couple of months ago!

If I'm recalling properly your poodle is older so for what ever little is worth right now that makes it a tad bit better, but not really right now.

Hang in there, my thoughts are with you.

There is good news about Reggie the poodle...today was not his time to go :) Yes Mo, he's 14 years old and has Cushing's Disease. He's been doing well since he started his meds but he's quite difficult to give meds to...he bites. My MIL gets frustrated when Reg won't just "eat his pill like a good dog" so he has spit out more than he's taken in the last few days, throwing him into a Cushing's Crisis. I got his pill down him this morning and in 2 hours he was back to his old self. The vet gave us some ideas about making it easier to get him to take his pills, so hopefully Reggie will be ok for awhile.

That is great news. I've had tons of dogs and don't know any that "eat his pill like a good dog"! I'm sure you have been given great advise, but I have always found that taking a piece of american cheese and really smooshing it up in there always does the trick!

Hope all is well in the desert!

If I did some sweet talking Maybe I could get the German tankers to do it. But most likely not since the tanks here are pretty much for show (we're aviation)which really sucks because that sounds like a damn good marketing idea. But if all else fails we do have some pretty massive up armored gun trucks and semi's.
