I'm a noob and have a lot of questions and wanna make sure i get the right one.

I used to smoke 2 packs of Marlboro red 100's a day. I managed to cut that down to a pack every 3 days (1 1/2 days if I'm stressed) before i quit cold turkey. I wanted a smoke so bad and a friend gave me one of her disposable V2 cigarettes. It helped and have been using the V2 and bought one more of them in the last 2 weeks. I mainly vape when I am drinking, stressed out, or in a social gathering.

I'm new to this e-cigarette/vaping thing. So I have a lot of questions and wanna make sure I get the right one. I also don't have a lot of money to spend ($100 max). What I'm looking for in a e-cigarette is one that can produce a decent amount of vapor. I want one that when i inhale the vapor i feel it going down into my lungs. I have used the V2 disposable red e-cigarette and they have this harshness at the end of each inhale. I'm not a big fan of that. Which brings me to my first question. Which has a smoother inhalation; cool or warm vapor? Secondly, what Pg/Vg ratio gets a smooth hit with all the flavor of the e-liquid?
I have been reviewing a lot of e-cigarette brands and makers of hardware. I have kinda narrowed down to brands. Halo Triton tank system, Halo g6 mini-tank system, and Kanger T2? I'm leaning to the Kanger T2 because its cheaper and from what i have read the threads allow you to use other cartomizers. Also I have read that the tube is made of Pyrex glass as where the Halo Triton cartomizers use a plastic tube. Which is another question I have. Does it matter which one, plastic or Pyrex glass, I use? Does certain e-liquids stain or eat away at the plastic tubes? Also which one (plastic or Pyrex glass)would be more durable in case I get drunk and drop it onto the cement, tile floor or any hard surface? Which leads me to another question. Would any these (Halo Triton tank system and Kanger T2)be suitable at a party or a club? If not, any recommendations.


As for duration throughout the day/night I understand that the Halo Triton tank system and Kanger T2 have large batteries and large capacity tanks for e-liquids, so they would definitely be useful when I'm out and about . The Halo G6 mini tank uses a smaller 1ml tank. How long would that last. I would normally smoke any where from 7 -12 cigarettes a day. Is there some sort of formula or ration I should know about? Or would the battery (280 mAh) die before I need to refill it.

I'm also up to any other suggestions on what kinda e-cigarette hardware I should use other than Halo or Kanger.

One last question, even though I think i found the answer all ready, but I wanna be sure. When i look at a the dosage of nicotine on the package of a e-cigarette or e-liquid and it says 1.8% does that translate to 18mg of nicotine.

Hi, and Welcome.

In all honesty, I would bypass most of what you are considering. The T2 is a good clearomiser, yes, but there are better these days i.m.o.

1.8% or 18mg is the amount of nicotine per ml. I smoked about 18mg a day (if the packets of cigarettes are accurate) and replaced that with 2-3ml of 18mg liquid.

If you are currently smoking around 10 a day, that's going to be around 10mg (depending on brand) so I would imagine you'll vape somewhere around 2ml while you get used to vaping.

The total nicotine in the liquid is not the YIELD of nicotine. The yield is currently a source of argument/discussion but it won't be lower than 30% and probably not higher than 60%. For me, 1ml of 18mg did not get close to keeping my 18mg/day nicotine habit in check. I had to go double or a little more.

Direct comparison is really hard to calculate... (don't we know it...) as vaping styles vary from person to person. Better to vape more to get off the smokes than go to low or infrequently at first.

Well done on cutting down... that sounds an amazing effort.

First of all, Kanger T2 is 510 threaded, so it will not work on a kr808D-1 battery--unless there is a kr808 version of the T2 I'm not familiar with. You'll have to get Trident version of the T2 if you want to use it on a Trident battery.

That said, I like the T2. It's the only top coil Kanger clearomizer and it's very good indeed--actually, it's the only top coil clearo I like.

If I were you, I wouldn't buy any kr808 stuff; the 510 connection is much more popular and versatile.

My recommendation would be to get a couple of good eGo-style vv batteries (eGo-C twist, Vision Spinner, iTaste VV V3) or an iTaste MVP2 (box-shaped). And some good clearos--I like Kanger BCC lineup the best: T3S, eVod, ProTanks 2. The BDC Aspire clearos are also nice, but they double coil models.

I would advise you to look at an Evod kit...much better starter with room for growth. You can try different coils (1.8ohm, 2.2ohm, 2.5ohm) that will give you different levels of warmth and flavor. The lit comes with 2 batteries and charger, 2 evod clearos and 5 replacement heads...just add liquid.

It's hard to tell how much battery life and how much liquid you will need. I would advise starting at 18mg (yes 1.8)...but you can adjust that as well.

Rule of thumb is a 650mah battery will last 6 hours (I get more like 4 hours, but I'm a heavy vaper). 100mah = approx 1 hour.

I'd also recommend an EVOD starter kit. Definitely get two (or more) of everything. When something stops working, you don't want your backup to be a cigarette. Until you're sure you are not wasting money you might want to hold back, but at least get two batteries to start, and recharge them immediately.

I'm guessing everyone has a different standard of "decent". I recently saw in a b&m a kit for $30 that had a knockoff evod tank and looked like an 1100mah twist with it and charger.

Not what I would buy or recommend, but almost everyone just wants to stick their toes in, before getting their feet wet.

That said, I use my 650mah passthrough egos more than my vamo. The vamo is strictly at home, and the egos are great for taking to work w/iclear16's or little dct cartos on them.

I agree, you want to buy at least 2 batteries, one charger if you go with an E-go and tank you have more selection on juice. If you like the cigarette feel, Encore vapor has a good hit and full flavor from their Cartos. They have same threading as V2. I have some V2 batteries also like the batteries not so much the flavor. Encore full thicker vapor. I got my deluxe kit which came with charger and 2 batteries and 2 cartos also picked up 5 extra cartos and a bottle of e-juice at my local smoke shop for $80.00.Just my 2 cents.

Nothing beats a visit to a B&M store. You can touch stuff, see how it feels in your hand, you can sample juice flavors. That's the best introduction to new gear.

My wife and I started with ego c. and it didn't take long till both of us wanted more. I would suggest at the very least to look into something like this.

with the variable voltage you can adjust the power and get a more customized mouth or throat hit. if you want more vapor get a higher percentage of VG in your eliquid, if you want more vapor get a higher percentage of PG. I think 18 would be a good place to start, but bear in mind the nicotine in vapor doesn't get into your system as quick as from an analog. I started vaping at Christmas and have since gotten a Tesla, it died, so now I'm waiting on an I taste SVD. The biggest thing of all I think anyway is don't force it let it happen. it will happen if you want it to. 13 days and counting.

i use a joyetech battery with a usb passthrough so i can vape while its charging. i got it for 23 dollars from ecigexpress. i works great. i also use an iclear30 tank or a carto to direct drip. all that should only cost about 40 dollars and you can use the rest of your money to buy diy supplies to make your own ejuice
