Put my first order in for a VK and stuff a couple days ago. Can't wait till it gets here, but I was just so done with cigs that I went into a smoke shop, saw they had the Blu starter kits, and left with one. Yeah, it's probably overpriced. Yeah, no real selection of carts. Yeah, no liquid, BUT, I just threw my cigs away!!

Don't think I'll get the VK till Monday, so for now, I look forward to a weekend without smokes. Not nervous one bit.

Oh, yeah, I vaped in the car on the way home from the smoke shop! Damn, I like it already.

you'll love the VK and a blu is prob worth it just to get off the analogs quicker. :D

That was my thought exactly! They had em locally, so I didn't have to worry about the bad customer service I've heard of. Tried the menthol and Cherry carts so far. Don't have anything to put them up against yet. I guess they're OK. Now, come on VK

Welcome Jeremy! Congrats on making a decision and sticking with it, no matter which unit you start with! Definitely interested in hearing the comparison between the Blu and the VK - my first order was with Blu but I cancelled it after waiting a week and they still hadn't shipped. I tried a few others prior to V4L and none of them compare in flavor, selection or customer service - I'm sure you'll be pleased!

For sawlight and flying low:

My first ecig purchase was from Volcano - it's the same exact L88 hardware that Blu uses. Altogether, it's not a bad ecig. While the draw was a bit over-sensitive at times, I'd venture to say that I liked the draw on the Volcano auto batteries more than the auto-PT I got from V4L.

The PCC is very slick, and works quite well. Charging time for the batteries was pretty fast (about an hour) and I got a decent amount of vapor and TH. Battery life wasn't the best, but considering the size, I couldn't complain. The atomizers are tiny, but they seemed to work surprisingly well.

However, like with most all of the 3 pc models, the major downfall is the carts. The prefilled carts are not too bad, but being a fairly heavy ex-smoker, I ran thru them pretty quick. I ended up direct dripping, but that got old. With the smaller size of the atty, dripping was a risky proposition - the only batteries available are autos...

and yadda yadda yadda - I'm now quite the V4L evangelist at work

So basically, while the branding is very hip and trendy, the hardware itself is run-of-the-mill.

Jeremy - don't let my negative comments discourage you. Hold steady and stay off the analogs! The Blu gear you have now will work fine till your VK stuff comes in. V4L is a great company to do business with, you've made a great (2nd) choice ;-)

Thanks for the input on the Blu. VK was my first choice, placed my order, just can't wait for it to get here to quit the cigs, so I bought the Blu.

I think it's a good thing I got the Blu first, because I'm making it work. It'll get a full 3 days of use, so I should have a good idea of what features I like/dislike on it.

Definately like the size. Although, I'm not getting a ton of vapor, I think the nicotine is there. Like the aftertaste of the Cherry, when I'm able to get a nice vape!

I'll probably be here for support throughout the weekend. Thanks, all.

I thought the blu kit looked cool too. I liked the case that looked like a pack of cigs. But after hearing all the probs especially with shipping and customer service it was not for me. I have only used the VK and I could not imagine one better or easier to use. I could only see lateral comparison but definately not better. VIVA LA V4L!!!!!!!!

got my VK kit in the mail today. Wasn't expecting it yet. Much easier to pull vapor than the Blu. Only tried two carts in it today. I think the 18mg might be a little much. We'll see. Smilin Special is very good. All who tried agreed it was like an Andes mint, with that smooth finish of chocolate. Also tried Coffee. At 18mg, this cart is pretty strong. Love the flavor, though. I think if I ordered this one strength down, I would really like it.

Hopefully, I'll have a chance to try a little more tomorrow. First full day with no smokes!!
