...to shopping! I want it all! This must be one of the cons of vaping, 'cause I sure don't remember wanting to buy anything else related to analogs (not that there was ever much out there). There are just so many gadgets and gizmos to choose from!

With that said, though, Kansas City definitely lacks any solid shops for e-liquids. What are some of the best e-liq distributors online? Pretty new to vaping and have been nervous to try refillable cartomizers. I hear it's a money-saver to do so. Also, tanks seem to be the most popular way to go, but I'm hesitant to buy one as I'm still trying to kick the analog habit and feel more comfortable with e-cigs that feel similar.

I suppose I'm just looking for some input on the best ways to get more experimental with vaping down the road.

I'm probably going to be one of those people with the insane collections! I just purchased Vapor4Life's D.A.V. (love it, btw) and was still browsing everywhere else while I waited for the shipment. I really have to hold myself back from purchasing. Also been chain-vaping for the past few hours...yikes. I'm assuming it takes some time to cut down when you first start. Originally started with Blu disposables, which I actually enjoyed, but purchased the kit and it was the worst! Do you use refillable carts, a tank, both? I'm thinking of getting a tank for home use. My friend really enjoys his, but he's very into the fruitier/spicier flavors of juice. I'm still working on finding the right flavor for daily vaping that'll help me kick the analogs for good. Know exactly what you're talking about when you say you find yourself wanting them when you know you don't need them. I think it's more habit than anything, though, 'cause I feel pretty satisfied with my 24mg carts as far as nic cravings. :)

What you got is a basic eGo Variable Volt battery, and you can get these MUCH cheaper at other shops. Check out MyVaporStore (authorized JoyeTech eGo vendor). There, these types of batteries run about $20 each.

i cant do carto's for some reason i always get a platic burning taste out of them even when filling them proper so i manly use Dripping atomizers and Tanks i like rebuilding my own coils and it also saves you a bit of cash(which ill spend on fancy juice anyway..lol).i agree we just really want the device itself cause at the end of they day they all do the same thing which is vaporize your liquid. but hey if you got the cash flow and want to collect by all means do so there are some pretty sick mods out there. ANYTHING to keep you off them nasty ol'cigs is a plus in my book

Good to know! I hose the V4L D.A.V because it was automatic and not manual. I'm a little intimidated by manuals, but they seem pretty easy to get the hang of, so I honestly am not sure why I'm not getting one yet. Probably another choice based on similarity to analogs (though definitely nowhere similar in dimensions). I did not do much research on variable voltage batteries, to be honest.

I just got one of the V4L DAV's just over a week ago, which is a auto, I vape while doing different things and don't want to have to mess with buttons to push, the DAV does take long to charge, but I have the large and can go nearly 12 hours without charging, I've enjoyed it so much, I just ordered a 2nd one yesterday, so always got one while the other is charging.

As for juices, I have not tried a lot of different juice suppliers, because I found Mount Baker Vapor, and like the juices there and they seem to have the best prices, but everyone is different.

I think a lot of people are.... there is so much cool stuff out there, and more is being made as I type this. Thought I'd be good after getting my provari....nope.

As far as cartos, tanks are a great option as they allow for greater capacity and thus less filling, just check out some YouTube vids on how to fill a dct (cartomizer tank) and how to prime a cartomizer.
Cartos give good flavor, vapor, and throat hit and I recommend them for beginners.

Or you could check out clearomizers like the vivi nova or evod/protank. These are easy to fill and use but can be a bit more quirky than cartos and have a bit less flavor out of the box.

If you've got an ego style battery all of these will work for you.

As far as vendors go, check out the General e-liquid discussion forum and at the top there is a thread for the 2012 juice of the year awards. Also there is a thread for "top 5 vendors" which should give you a good idea of places to try!

+1 for Mt. Baker Vapor. They have great prices and the best customer service.

As for advice I would say to do your research before jumping up to eGo batteries and mods to keep from making the mistakes I did. I bought a starter kit, then cheap eGo batteries, then more expensive eGo batteries, then Twists and Spinners and even more cartomizers and atomizers and tanks and clearomizers and, well you get my point. All this to end up with a Vamo and a protank. I thought hard about buying one in the beginning but thought it was too expensive. I now have a long list of stuff I "wasted money on". I mean if you can afford it go ahead and just buy all the stuff you see and want, but that defeats the idea of trying to save money vaping. I do have backups for days though. Oh yeah, you'll hear this early and often as you ask for advice on how to get started. Have backups, and backups for your backups. You don't want a crazy craving to hit while waiting for batteries to charge. And stock up on e-liquid too, some days it goes faster than others and you sure don't want to run out. If you like to be experimental then go with DIY juice. This is a learning experience for sure.

No matter what you do, stay off the stinkies and use ECF to help answer any questions you have. It might seem a little overwhelming at first but it'll get easier.
