I did a contest WITH prizes and it didn't seem to work out all that well...

It was the best idea I could come up with.

If you come up with ANY idea that can get people to be more aware, more active, or to join CASAA I will be glad to help in any way.
And that includes helping out with offering prizes if you think it will help.

Well my original idea involved Robin modeling a Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader outfit. What do you think? Would that spirit up a bit of support?

It matters not, for the Noble Robin will not play my reindeer game. We will have to come up with something else.

Thanks for your kind words outside, DC. They can batter and bruise the lion, but they cannot quell my spirit! It was not so bad. I only went in to back up a fellow poster of good things for CASAA, but he seemed to 'ghost' the minute I arrived....leaving me in a bit of a tight spot, as you saw.

I will have to speak to him about this matter sometime.

I'm willing to help, as well.
I don't have many "friends" (here on ECF, anyway) so I'd probably lose any competition...unless y'all give me a head start for the 150 or so members who have signed up over the past few days. :) there really were 6800 or so members when I started this thread. :)

I cannot grant you any handicap, for your avatar alone gives you a distinct advantage...as evidenced by the soaring membership!

I bet I could muster up a CASAA t-shirt for a prize. How about this one (which should be up on the CASAA store soon):

But how do we track who recruited the new members?

Agreed.... ECF and CASAA go hand in hand. I know there is a lot of good work that happens between ECF, CASSA, and all of their members, but it needs to be publicized more. ECF and CASSA need to make their mutual support more "in your face". I personally would like it if ECF had a special banner just for CASSA members. I hate to admit it, but I am guilty of not advertising my support for CASSA enough. I am a member, but I've been too lax to add it to my signature on ECF.

im the same as you...a member but dont advertise enough

i will fix this monday

One thing that could help a little bit is making our CASAA banners clickable. retired1 posted just how to do this here: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...88-im-amazed-join-casaa-org.html#post10795249

I sure would make it easier for people to get to CASAA just clicking the CASAA banner link.

I myself had been lazy in adding my CASAA banner and after I had it fixed retired1 showed us how to make it clickable. Me likey!

Love that shirt!

I say we start a sub-thread for new member lists. What do you say to that? We can have a post that Robin can update (like the millennial post) , new members have to post in the thread and identify their recruiter...

Make sense?

Tapped out

If someone wants to create the thread and the rules. State them clearly. I have no problem with doing the actual work to tally up at each (I can see a nightmare of a spreadsheet coming up) 1,000 posts. I will not be participating in the actual recruitment to maintain complete impartiality.

Rules must be stated in the first post and should be noted in those rules that the posters have to name the recruiter. It also should be noted to keep the posts limited to names. If I'm doing this, it would help to not have to go through a bunch of chit chat posts.

Any other suggestions or thoughts?

May I offer a radical suggestion? I love the new CASAA T-shirt! How about offering one as a "sign-up" prize directly to, say, each 100th, or500th new member, or some number TBD? Winners to be announced in this forum. I know this circumvents the recruitment bonus, but as to that, I see a nightmarish ID process for that. Just my thought...

I agree it would be a nightmarish project. kind of worth it though......KIND OF!
